Months ago, a tear opened up in the sky. Only through the intervention of the princess was the tear closed, but not before something came through. Something from another reality. Something not of Equus' soil.

They called themselves humans.

Only a handful were found, barely the amount of a few hundred. In the beginning, the humans were scared and afraid, but slowly they adjusted. Months passed and things finally appeared to return to a sense of normalcy.

Then it happened.

An incident that rocked Equestria to its core, shook its foundations more then the changeling attack on Canterlot.

It was dubbed,simply, the Human Event.

We doubted the queen's power. We thought nothing of her tales of strength. Why should we have believed the far fetched rumors of awesome power? Of her loyal maidens of battle? That the small country that had the gall to call itself the "Crystal Empire" was in its right a true empire?

Well, the simple answer is, we didn't. And we should have.

Then maybe the bloodshed could have been avoided. I believe that's what Queen Megan would have wanted.

Hearth's Warming Eve. A wonderful holiday celebrated by all ponies. A holiday that commemorates the founding of Equestria along with one of its highest moral values. However, the tale of how it happened...how much of it is true?

We do not hide in the shadows. We do not lurk in the darkness. You cannot hide from us. For where the Sun shines, we are there. We walk among you and you don't even realize it. Of course, you have nothing to fear from us. That is of course, if you are not an enemy of Equestria. And if you are, well...

You won't be for long.

Morning Breeze. A mare in the esteemed royal guard. Certainly not a rarity, but still it's an accomplishment nonetheless. She has served the night guard to the best of her ability, and though never personally standing guard around her princess, she takes great pride in her duty. So when she learns that she is to be reassigned to make way for the return of the Lunar guard, naturally, she is a bit upset. Especially considering the Lunar guard is made up of thestrals, bat ponies of ancient times that disappeared after the fall of Nightmare Moon. Her irritation at being replaced by, thestrals, of all creatures, has her frustrated. But a chance encounter in the halls of Canterlot castle may reveal more than what she perceives.

You know, when I was younger, my dad used to tell me stories. Stories of a happier time. A time when there was only one pony nation on Equus. A nation that lived in peace and harmony. Where the land itself seemed to exude happiness. Where the great sisters ruled together to keep their ponies happy and safe. Where the only thing dividing ponies where horns or wings. But I suppose thats all they were. Just stories.

Equestrian history books are bathed in lies. Then again, that statement is incorrect. Equestrian history books are incomplete. They don't tell of everything Equestria did to get where it was today. They don't tell of the assassinations, the cover ups, the proxy wars, the uprisings and rebellions that were crushed before they could even start, the secret agreements, and most importantly,the very group that was responsible for all of these. Who is this group? That's a simple answer. We, are the Solar Cross. And you might ask how, how have we remained a secret for so long? Again, a simple answer. It is because of the one we serve. It is because of none other than Princess Celestia herself.

Darkness and light. A constant battle has existed between these two forces and Equestria is not immune to this fight. Rather it is the epicenter. Defeat after defeat the darkness had taken, but now it decides to change the game. It brings four new peices onto its board. With these new additions, it hopes to finally end the light once and for all.
