Nothing like writing personal experience. I for one can completly cocomiserate with the "Heard just the wrong thing" bit. I can't even remember how many times someone says something in passing and it unintentionaly bums you out for the rest of the day.
This is so powerful. I lost my father recently, so I know quite well the 'phases' of happiness and sorrow. It may be for the best in the end, but it doesn't stop the present from hurting... but thankfully, friends and family can help when you get down. I know I said it already in my comment on Heaven Knows, but thank you for this.

I can relate to this story so much. Especially the phases - I've already gotten used to them, that there's just that kind of a sadness inside that can come out any second. You don't even cry, it's just that... emptiness.
This story really brought a sad smile to my face a couple of times :'). Very well written, I appreciate your work as an author.

This story touched me and I can relate to how Apple Jack is feeling with my experiences. I really enjoyed this story and even though it was short, it's one of my favourites.
