It’s no wonder people are hating on this story I just read the description and I must say it is wrong that you want to kill Fluttershy, she is the sweetest cutest pony aside from Pinkie Pie who is hilarious.
The problem with a distasteful cover is that it’s so tempting to judge the book by it. Hooking the reader is an art in its own right, and in this case, there are two camps: people who will be disgusted by the apparent subject matter and never read the story, and people who want to see that apparent topic and will be disappointed by not following through on it.
I’ll be honest, I would have been in the first group if it weren’t for 11812486’s recommendation. This is an interesting meditation on Fluttershy and the perils of the language barrier, but the packaging is off-putting to say the least. Still, I am glad I read it.

you know, i'll say that I really underestimated how shocking or distasteful this would come off as. I honestly just chose the title because it was the name of the prompt and it was snappy. i honestly did not think what the gut reaction would be, or that people would take it at face value... which sounds a bit dumb when i write it out like this. anyhow, thanks for reading! this was fun to write, even if there was a distinct lack of fluttershy death in it :P

ah-hah! but i don't want to kill fluttershy! i won't go through the whole "read the story first" dance, because I have a feeling this type of story really depends on your tastes and what you look for in fanfic. I just felt the need to defend my Fluttershy liker cred here- she's a perfectly cute pony. I like Twilight better, though

To be honest, it's not my favorite, but it is deserving of a like. Nice job.
To be honest, this is a really interesting premise. Not the actually-following-through aspect of it that I think we're all happy isn't in this fic, but the general idea of someone being jealous enough of Fluttershy to attempt to kill her. Unfortunately, as some of the folks below me said, this is doomed to have more dislikes than likes because not everybody is gonna actually read it. It's definitely an attention-grabbing prompt, though, and it was better than I expected it to be.
