Susan sat down at the desk across from Night Light, worried about what her lawyer wanted to see her about. Not that she minded seeing him, as he was not only a good friend, but her best friend’s husband too. Having received a call to come to his office though hardly happened, only when he was working on a case for her and the only case he had going on for her was getting the official paperwork for Sunset sorted out.
“So, already got Sunset’s paperwork back?” Susan asked, hoping that this was all the visit was about.
“I wish it was that simple, Susan.” Night Light sighed, rubbing his eyes as he leaned back. “I was finishing up the paperwork to send in, but there are some problems with it. One being that Sunset is the same age Will is supposed to be.”
“I know, what does that matter?” Susan asked, dread filling her as this was starting to sound like anything but the easy task of getting Sunset fully legalized.
“Susan, you wanted to make up that Sunset’s father came and kidnapped her when she was born to explain why she doesn’t have paperwork up until now. While I normally don’t like lying like this, under the circumstances I understand. The problem is there is only one way Sunset can be the same age as Will and have a different father. The only way this can happen is by heteropaternal superfecundation, which I have very few options. Ideally, I would suggest claiming to have intercourse right before going to a clinic to be artificially inseminated. You could say you both believed Tony had an extremely low sperm count. The problem is that I have no contacts that can cover that claim and Canterlot doesn’t have any clinics, so claiming bad bookkeeping is out.”
“I don’t think Tony would take something like that lying down. He might even sue claiming Sunset is his child in retaliation.” Susan groaned.
“The only other option in keeping Tony out would have the same results, with a possible scandal in addition that could cost you your position as CEO.” Night Light said softly, obviously against this idea.
“If you are hinting at what I think, let’s leave that option on the side for now.” Susan groaned. “I take it you have another idea?”
“Yes, and it would be the easiest, yet I know you won’t like it.” Night Light sighed, “Susan, I know you hate the man, and you have every right to be mad at him, but maybe you should consider another option for Sunset’s sake.”
“I’m really not going to like this, am I?” Susan sighed, “Maybe we should just go with the threesome option. I would rather ruin my reputation than get Sunset hurt by that man.”
“Susan, Tony’s mother came from Canterlot and had a skin tone similar to Sunset. It would be easy to claim that Sunset was one of the babies in the CCH scandal where a couple of nurses were reporting the babies of mixed families died in the nursery to put the babies with fully Canterlot families. Since you ended up there during that time when you gave birth to Will, I’m sure it wouldn’t be hard to use it for Sunset.” Night Light explained, “And there is one more detail I haven’t told you yet.”
“I’m not sure I want to hear any more details.” Susan groaned, rubbing the bridge of her nose with a thumb and forefinger.
“Tony knows, Susan. I don’t know how exactly, but he knows.” Night Light said, cutting off Susan’s response as a look of horror and anger crossed over her face. “He called me earlier this morning, Susan. He said a man contacted him a few hours before calling me and told him everything. This man was hinting for Tony to blackmail you and take Sunset with him. Tony said he would never do that and was crushed when Will went missing. And now that Sunset is here he just wants to get to know her. To be the father he should have been for Will.”
“He just wants to use her to get to me and see what he can milk from me.” Susan said bitterly.
“Actually, I don’t think that is his plan at all. I’ve kept tabs on him ever since I learned about him from you. He’s stopped drinking and gotten married, and from what I learned, they are very happy together. Neither one has a job as good as yours, but together they make just as much, if not more. He really seems like he just wants to get to know Sunset, he promised he doesn’t want to take her from you or cause trouble between you two.” Night Light explained, “Susan, I really think you should go with this. It will make getting Sunset legalized much easier, and it might actually be good for all of you.”
“I don’t know if I can trust him.” Susan sighed, “...Do you think he’s being sincere?”
“I truly believe he just wants a second chance. He could have easily not told me about the whole blackmail thing, but he did. I think that it’s a very good show of faith.” Night Light said.
“Okay, can I think about it?” Susan asked, unsure just how much she wanted to trust this. She did trust Night Light and his judgment though, neither the man nor his wife has steered her wrong.

“Are you okay?” Sunset asked, unsure of what to do for the blonde who was wiping away her tears. She knew it was a stupid question, but she had no idea of how to handle what she had witnessed as it was completely foreign territory to her. Sure, Celestia had scolded her many times, but the alicorn had never struck her.
“I will thanks to this little guy.” Cornelia said as she swept over to Twilight and picked the small puppy up in her arms and nuzzled. “Who's the cute little hero? You are! Yes, you are!”
“You're embarrassing me…don’t stop.” Spike said as he wagged his tail happily.
“Cornelia, your mother just beat the crap out of you!” Irma cried out, “Aren’t you going to say anything?”
“Of course I am.” Cornelia said with a smirk, “How did you learn to talk, little guy?”
“He just turned into the canine version of the Incredible Hulk and you want to know how he learned to talk?!” Taranee asked, her mouth hanging open as she tried to process the whole thing.
“I would like to know what happened too.” Twilight said as she inspected Spike’s body as the blonde held him to make sure he wasn’t hurt. “Are you okay, Spike? Is this going to be dangerous for him?”
“Well, one moment I was happy getting attention, then I saw that monster car coming up. I didn’t like the smell of the woman who got out and when she started hitting Cornelia, I felt something welling up inside of me. Then I heard this Heart of Gaea or something asking me if I wanted to be given the power to protect her. I said yes so that vicious tuna eating monster and me became Gaea’s regents.” Spike explained.
“That’s all well and good, but I want to know if both of you are okay!” Hay Lin cried out, “What we saw and felt from you was horrible, Sunset! And with your mom doing that to you Cornelia? That was horrible!” Hay Lin sobbed out.
“Shhh, it’s okay.” Sunset said as she moved to pull Hay Lin into a hug. “We’ll make sure Cornelia is okay, she’s our friend. As for me, it is horrible what happened. And we do need to talk about it. I don’t need Taranee’s power to know everyone is upset over everything that we’ve seen today.”
“I guess I’ll have to look for a place to stay.” Cornelia sniffed as she handed Spike off to his owner. “There’s no way I’m going home tonight.”
“You can have my room.” Twilight suggested, shocked looks crossing the other girls’ faces except for Sunset who understood what she was getting at.
“I’m not taking your room, where would you sleep?” Cornelia asked, shaking her head.
“I’m not talking about my room at home, but the room I stay in when I’m over at Auntie Susan’s place.” Twilight explained, “You would have to deal with some of my stuff I have in there for a few days, but I’m sure Auntie Susan wouldn’t mind.”
“Corny, how often does your mom hit you?” Irma asked gently, hugging the blonde from the side with Twilight taking the other as the blonde started shaking a little.
“It’s mostly just yelling. I guess now I know why no matter how much I try to be like her, she never accepts me. Every once in a while she would slap me, but they don’t even bother me anymore.” Cornelia sniffed, “Ever since becoming a guardian, her slaps feel more like taps.”
“That isn’t the point, Cornelia! She has no right hitting you at all or treating you like that!” Twilight exclaimed.
“I’m calling my dad!” Irma snapped.
“NO!” Cornelia barked out, shocking the group. “I haven’t put up with this crap for this long just to get Lillian’s mother taken from her now!”
“What are you talking about?” Sunset asked. She felt like she had a feeling why Cornelia would do it, and while she didn’t like it, she could understand it.
“Because Lillian is treated like a princess and our mom would never hurt her. Lillian loves mom so much. I refuse to destroy her world when I can just get away from it all when I turn eighteen anyways.” Cornelia explained, “I might complain about the little spore a lot, but she’s my sister and I love her.”
“Am I the only one to have noticed the light show around her though?” Taranee asked.
“What light show?” Cornelia asked, worried for her little sister’s safety.
“The light show before doggo here became Krypto.” Irma said, earning a confused look from Cornelia.
“Oh, that!” Spike exclaimed, “You must be talking about her using powers.”
“What powers?” Cornelia demanded as she pulled away from her friends and turned to stare at the talking dog in worry.
“Her powers as the Heart of Gaea.” Spike said as if it was common knowledge.
“Well…shit.” Cornelia groaned out.

Personally, I think that Fluttershy stare is the draconic heritage from several generations back, a mutated form of "Draconic Fear" in particular (Instead of being aura it's targeted, and instead of causing panic it paralyzes).
That Cloudsdale situation is from season nine last episodes before "Last problem" , and I am not surprised it's easy to forget, after all Equestria was in under three-pronged cataclysmic situation, it's easy to miss a city doing a douche move ... considering what those three threats were...
As for parents' names ... maybe just use pony names for their human counterparts? Except Fluttershy's parents they all have canon names... even if not all of them seem to be present/alive? That is unless you want to give some OC as parents since it is AU and you have free reign over chaos butterfiles?
I... see your point about treating all vampires as undead, I tend to forget about different... variations, mostly because of ... the prevalent trend of vampires as romantic partners in the media, it slightly irritates me since those same media tend to show vampires as some sort master race that can't be beaten (Biggest joke of the universe if you ask me, but it may be me, and I would try to find a way to kill Shogoth with a salty sandwich(troublesome but not impossible)).
My first exposition to the dhampir concept was very late when I was playing The Elder Scrolls Oblivion, and there is a quest that leads to the discovery of Half Vampire(In this universe they are ... let's call them spawn of Molag Bal, and this dark daedra boyo is known for truly dark stuff and their souls are bound to end in his realm) and half Orsimer (In short they are smarter , smith orcs that are also counted as sorta elves(weird but ok?)). And from that discovery, it kinda spiraled downwards.
... Why do I think that sudden Tony interest considering his stable-ish family situation is either as Susan suspects some money scheme, or (which I think is more probable) villain mind machination to employ another stratagem centered around attacking Sunset's emotionally (Which is great play considering that even if she is now imposing magically, she is still emotionally vulnerable)? If this is the first option, I think any method of kidnapping or corrupted law intervention can be soundly ignored since I don't think one man or local judicial system has enough manpower or nuclear arsenal to force Sunset compliance, but the second option is a real threat and can be an opening for something worse. Better have pylons ready team "Mad SCIENCE!", here comes test field.
Heart of Gaea asking? Wouldn't that be Lilian? Or this is something subconscious... or Heart is sentient and what's more active?
... wasn't Lilian's explicit words (if unknowing) necessary to appoint regents?
And ... dog is outta the bag, and information about Heart of Gaea's identity has just gone to the guardians, and through that to the villain and kandrakar ... better inform Lilian before the fireworks start ...
Also, Cornelia just got major points for caring about her sister's feelings. I must admit in this case scenario I would go for the police since there is more than one method to abuse a child ... but this doesn't seem to be a Dursleys scenario where one child is abused and another spoiled beyond the norm ... oh well there is also an option to use magical cordyceps ...
I mean it is a risk of creating a shroom-zombie apocalypse but as long as schroomie and rotting corpse of Cornelia's mother is sorta still dotting on Lilian even if less talking, I don't think anyone will notice.
And that final reaction is perfect wrap up
As for Lilian's inability to control others ... that is a troublesome topic since in the cartoon Elyon could to a degree enthrall meridian citizens. So logic dictates that Heart of Gaea can do the same through reality warping but using the same argument I would say both can't subvert free will.
As an example: Aldarn was under Elyon influence but it seemed to be more of a suggestion/hypnosis than true mind domination since he still needed to be persuaded and could be persuaded back ... after some hits to the head.
From that one incident, one could think that Lilian could unknowingly through a similar method appear to be more innocent or convincing to people around.
In conclusion: I agree that they can't directly violate free will or puppeteer someone, but they could still ... "stack the deck" to persuade someone by altering perception or weakening will.
And Cornelia's mother is just a plothole since she admitted (even in an aggressive/emotional state) to having such opinion before Lilian was born, something that Lilian couldn't make her admit since she could not know about such information, ergo Cornelia's mother behavior against older daughter is un-altered and never was.
The question of Mother copious dotting on Lilian is the effect of magical stimuli is inconclusive. It could be possible but nothing points in this direction and instead points in direction of natural behavior.
Also all of this can be meaningless with word of god/author.
I know Cornelia doesn't want to hurt her sister by taking her away but she needs to think about more than the physical aspect. Seeing abuse can have a negative impact on children even if they themselves are never touched. Lilian could be aware of what is going on and won't say anything because she doesn't want to get in trouble.
If Lilian is controlling her mother, maybe have it be subconscious and only the "perfect princess" bit, like the Heart of Gaea is protecting her by making her mother kiss her ass and worship the ground she walks on

That could be it, I like that explanation and as dragons are a part of equestria it could be very likely.
That's why I haven't seen it. I haven't seen a lot of episodes from the last season or two as I wasn't able to do so.That was a pretty crappy move on their part though.
I was thinking OC other than the ones I knew as in Pinkie and Twi's, though if they do have canon parent names I will most likely end up using them except for Fluttershy.
Yeah, it does seem to be a widespread trend though not all are completely bad. Sadly the ones that get the most atention *cough*Twilight*cough* ruin it for the really good ones. Though the treating them as a master race does make it pretty bad too which also hurts the really good ones.
I loved Oblivion though if you asked me what happened in it now I wouldn't be able to tell you much. My memory sucks that bad...
A little of part b and a little of part c with a dash of part d mixed in. Eyup, Sunset has the power to nuke all of those who tried to keep her from her newfound mom...and I have a feeling she would do just that. There will be more mad science coming up, though a lot may have to be moved o the next part depending on what happens, sorry.
Yep, Lillian asking as she has an aversion to just forcing anything on anyone. She does have to give her explicit word though she did so here through a mental link. The dog being out of the bag though is a bad thing for everyone involved.
Thanks, I know siblings fight but I like thinking that most (sadly i know from experience that not all) actually love each other even with the bickering and would do anything to protect each other. It's not a Dursley setup though, not really. Elizabeth did dote on Lillian but Harold did love both though he is...well...a wuss. He did the best he could for Cornelia despite knowing she wasn't his. Maybe Lillian should mind wipe Elizabeth, but I'm trying really hard to stay away from the scenario. Cordyceps...darn it, now I can't think of that game that had that in it. It always had this high pitched voice that actually said cordyceps I believe.
I thought it was a good summary at the moment of Corny's feelings.
That's true, I'm just trying to come up with a valid reason that Lillian isn't using any kind of mind control as I really want to avoid that path at all cost. Yep, Elizabeth's actions toward Corny is all her own and Lillian never altered it in any way. She may have suggested better gifts for her birthday when she was younger, but again I think I want to avoid that. Maybe have Lillian have controlled a friend when she first discovered her powers and it scared the heck out of her and into swearing never to do it again. I do want to make it natural behavior.
11507040
She really does need to get Elizabeth in trouble, because you are very right on that. Sadly it happens a lot more than I would care to admit as I would love to think all parents love and would do anything for their child but reality I wonder if even half of the world does anymore with all the hate that seems to grow more and more every year.
11507126
It is a great theory, but sadly Elizabeth (Lillian's mom) is a bit of...not sure what to say about her. Elizabeth's actions are sadly her own though here.
11507491
Maybe her friend can help her see that this is the wrong path and she can actually get help social services. I've heard they try to keep families together and encourage parents to get on the right path to keep their kids. Don't know how true it is though. Corny could probably do like sunset used to and her little sister could get a nice home.

The last two seasons weren't bad but ... I dunno if I liked the change of pace. My favorite top 3 list of seasons still stays as:
1.Season 4
2.Season 2
3.Season 5
If you want and if it helps, I can send in the message list of canon names, a small summary of known pieces of information about characters, and in which episodes parents appeared?
TES Oblivion, one of those games that aged well if you ask me... and it is not because my laptop is so weak that playing Skyrim for more than an hour risks it being overheated...
Elizabeth and Harold ... good to have names since constant writing "Cornelia's Mother" was becoming a little ... repetitive.
Cordyceps are real-life parasitical shrooms that zombify insects to spread (Due to climate changes five years ago my country didn't have its own species and now ... well now there are) and are used as a plot device for zombies in "The Last of Us" game and from what I heard there will be TV series. (If you ask me, someone inside the game universe experimented with weaponizing that shroom and then forgot about the first big rule: DON'T DO IT ON YOUR HOMEWORLD IN PRESPACE AGE IDIOT!)
Past trauma from hypnotizing a friend accidentally is as good a reason as any other to seal that ability subconsciously, it may be even potential reason for Lilian's early knowledge of the supernatural.

I might go ahead and do something like that, I did have several routes I was debating on going. I'm still debating and could actually use a combination of number 1 here and your idea, thanks.
1) I already started, but not too late to change it as it only started and will be another part or two before the bulk of the part of what happens with Elizabeth comes in. Tom has the video from the limo driver who insists on staying anon, He goes to talk to Corny and runs into Harold and Lilly there and they all talk to Susan. Harold is thinking about a divorce (he won't as he is too much of a coward here) but decides to work with them. He will get Elizabeth to sign rights over to Susan for Cornelia so she can adopt her. Elizabeth would have to agree to get consuling and agree to stay away from Cornelia except in supervised visits if Cornelia wishes to see her. (Elizabeth wouldn't bother seeing her most likely) As for Lillian, she would see a counselor to make sure she is ok after seeing what happened with Elizabeth and Cornelia.
2) I actually had two options here, either a robber or something pulling a Batman and killing ELizabeth and Harold or have the villain do it in which point Susan would take both girls in. Of course, there is a third option for this route, Harold being pushed too far and shoot Elizabeth himself and then killing himself where again Susan takes in both Cornelia and Lillian.

I'm not sure which of the seasons I liked best as I didn't care for the changes much either. I would have to say I really liked season 1 and season 2 though. It really didn't bother me about Twilight becoming an alicorn as I actually kind of liked that idea.
That would be awesome, thank you so much!
I think it did, I haven't really played it for awhile but it was an awesome game and to me the graphics look just as good as Skyrim. Especially with mods.
Yep, sorry, I was calling them that out of character persepctive in story though I was also having some trouble actually remembering them as well.
That I did not know, and now I feel a little creeped out knowing they are real. I've never played the game or watched the show, but have heard bits and pieces here and there. That could have happened though and makes me wonder if people in real life even bother paying attention to this stuff, especially if the whole Corona thing being made in a lab and accidentally getting out is true. I really hope it isn't, I'm not sure where it really came from, but it is scary thinking about a lab somewhere playing with dangerous and stupid stuff by not learning lessons from video games and media.
Thanks, it was probably the best idea I could come up with as I really want to avoid her using any mind control.
