This was good, it worth continuing and there a lot of ways this story could go. Plus there's always that scene where Luna turns into NMM and it creates a nice bit of drama. On of my favorite examples of this type of fic The Longest Journey it's about Luna's guard/friend that has wandered Equestria for over 1,000 years non-aging (grant it he was 46), whom was half blind due to Nightmare Moon sending him through a stained glass window which broke several bones and left one eye gauged out and with a combination of dark magic from the wound and being too stubborn to die awaits Luna's return.

I have some ideas for how the whole thing will resolve. I want this to be romance, though, not just purely for the smut. And that's what makes the planning so difficult for me. The inbetweens (between the meeting and the end) of romance both make the story and are so hard to do correctly.

I agree. I'm really glad to be hearing that you guys are interested in the plot... I have a niggling feeling inside of me that makes me want to make my fics actually use the heavy emotions that sex elicits. To hear that there are people reading it for that reason makes it feel really great and well-received. Thanks guys.
In any case, I just want you guys to know that I have chapter 1 of another fic done already. I'm planning on releasing that fic all at once, though. Personally I feel like breaking the immersion of a love story can really detract from it, so I want the first impression to be the whole impression for that one.
Perhaps I'll write chapter 2 to this as a holdover, though. Not sure how many chapters I'm thinking for this one. Probably between 4 and 6.

I would recommend changing the title picture to a picture of pony Luna, as a human Luna picture confuses the reader slightly when they first start reading. Other than that, good job, I would continue reading if you wrote more.
Awww, that was really sweet. I'm glad you didn't do something to ruin the mood right at the end. Do please write more, I don't give a damn if it has clop or not, though that would be nice, what I really want to see is you exploring Luna and Shield's feelings for each other and him helping her deal with and get around the idea that most other ponies don't appreciate her night. And how Celestia reacts when she eventually finds out.

Actually, the reason the next chapter is taking so long is because it's really two chapters. The reason I am waiting to release both at the same time is because one of the chapters actually doesn't have any clop whatsoever and is just exploring the characters. The chapter after it actually has quite a considerable amount of development as well, just ends on a sexual note.
Just trying to keep things interesting for those fans...

Ah gosh. I've had this written for weeks and I just can't justify letting it sit here any longer.
A pet peeve of mine is reading a good story and then finding that it's not completed yet when I was really invested in the characters. So over the past month I've been writing a lot (on this story and another one that I have lots of work done on already) but I didn't want to release anything without feeling like I stopped at a satisfying place. Well, the days went on and I kept writing and I never felt like I was ever satisfied with where I left off.
So perhaps this story will be an experiment in chapters, and my next one will come all at once!
More to come very soon. The next chapter is very long, nearly done, and has tons of characterization that I hope people will be able to enjoy. Also finally some more cloppy stuff at the end.

No, unfortunately. I had that slotted for chapter seventy four but I believed it would have made the story much too serious, so unfortunately I was forced to scrap that idea.
