A warning to Luna: 1) Magic always exacts its price. 2) There is no consequence-free way of defying the natural order of things. 3) There is a reason why Necromancy is a forbidden art; the methods and price it requires for its miracles are not for one who wishes to remain on the side of light.
I'm thinking that the classic Kipling story "The Monkey's Paw" might be recommended reading for Luna here.

Wow! I can see you were telling me the truth when you said you pit a lot of thought into this story. These few chapters are proof of that. But I don't recommend limiting a story of this caliber to a mere 5,000 words. But if you continue the way you have, you could pull it off in about 10,000 words or so. I just know from personal experience, that my stories' refuse to let themselves be contained to my projected lengths.
But anyhow, this is very good! I can't wait to read more! Already fav'd and thumbed up! In fact your story has stirred my passions for Luna. I really feel the urge to work on Chapter 9 of "A Total Eclipse of Their Herts" now!

Whoa, that's a unique take on Necromancy! In most stories, Necromancers seem to just cast a simple spell to reanimate the dead. I like the intricacy involved, but am glad that Luna is showing some reluctance at delving into such a dark subject. I shall eagerly await more!

In fact, I learned from you that in order for it to be good, it needs to sound heartfelt and not like they're just "doing it" because they feel like it.

I am very glad that Luna has reunited with her lover, but i can't just shake off me the feeling that something is going to be sad. Not only sad, but soul deep sad. This Fic now has a place in my hearth. I can't wait for the next chapter.
Oh god what are the implications? If it turns out that she's currently sharing her soul with Blaze, then did Woona just potentially impregnate herself? If she has to kill him again, will she decide to try for a foal before letting him go?

I sense that somehow it will turn out, and Luna will realise, that Blaze is now just a shade of his formal self. Perhaps without a soul; a shallow husk with momories of the past?
One does not play with dark magic and get away with it. Hasn't Luna watched all the movies/ read all the books where stuff like this happens? What's going to happen is, it will turn out that Luna can't sustain Blaze forever. Something bad will happen because he isn't really alive, Celestia will find out and make Luna let go. And then, either some crazy ass magic will bring him back permanently, or Luna will reenact best ship with Twilight.
