I suppose this crossover was inevitable. I played a nearly 2 year long CoS campaign, even wrote a story about our characters! Though we played the fan mod Curse of Strahd: Reloaded, not RAW. Heh, after the campaign when the DM told us how much he changed, especially in a way so that there was a proper "Happy Ending," I told him that had we played RAW, I likely would have quit a quarter the way through. I would have just been miserable with how nihilistic and dark the original was. I mean, Reloaded was still a very gothic and tragic horror story, but with the canon endings, I just... nope.

Heh, sorry for the tangent. I'm intrigued as to where you're gonna go with this. What plot lines you're incorporate, which characters, and how our characters will react to such a dreary place. Cheers! :ajsmug:

I guess this must be the 5th edition?

The only Edition I know to be honest.:ajbemused: I'm still very new to DnD. I only had the privilege of playing for a year with 3 campaigns on my belt. (Two of which I'm still playing which includes Curse of Strahd)

Well this should be fun. There is no happy ending to this. Period. Unless the girls can break the hold the Dark Powers have over Strahd Because happy endings are boring and cliché. The characters will find that out the hard way.

10754224
Well then, I'll hope not to disappoint you. I wouldn't exactly call happy endings boring or cliched (provided of course a happy ending to a story such as Curse of Strahd is damn near impossible but so satisfying) but I've yet to plan an ending for this story due to our campaign still in the thick of it (and I don't wish to spoil things for myself just yet). I will guarantee you one thing though; Not one of them will come back home, unscathed or unbroken.

Last time I played Ravenloft our little band was being used by Lord Soth to strike at Strahd. Great campaign.

Patience my good Council Spokesperson. Patience.

Remember that time Lord Soth kicked the crap out of Strahd? Good times, good times.

Oh dear, I'll get right to it. Thanks for the heads up.
Edit: there we are, fixed.

10763198
I think i.imgur.com just doesn't work for me. I just get "HTTP ERROR 403" page.

10764478
Oh dear, oh well. I suppose I could just have click this link to see a general idea of Spike's appearance. If that doesn't work, then real sorry mate. Nothing much I could do.

Applejack link isn't working for me.

10765854
Yeah they shut the site down. I'll just have to do a little fix on that.
Edit: Fixed. Hopefully they won't screw me over with the link this time.

In all honesty? I can absolutely see Spike as an Oath of Devotion Paladin. Applejack would probably take the Path of the Ancestral Guardian. Pinkie is definitely College of Glamour, Rarity is either Life or Light Domain, and I'm not sure which school Twilight would ascribe to.

I think Fluttershy would do best in Circle of The Shepherd, no questions asked. It is most definitely her MO.

10784237
Well damn, There goes the surprise but oh well, who am I kidding? Of course someone will catch on.

10784241
WAIT, I FIGURED IT OUT?!?! HOLY SHIT!!!!! I am actually really proud of myself!

10784241
awwww, if that is true i am kinda sad, Fighter is my fav class and its left out ;-;

10784729
Don't worry, you'll find there are more fighters in Barovia who will be more than happy to show up.

So short compare to the other three.

As they were all seated at the table, the Equestrians could only watch in wide-eyed, slack-jawed horror as Maria and Pest devoured the steak-of-it-shall-not-be-mentioned with vigor and satisfaction. Some of them, like Applejack, Spike, and Pinkie Pie looked as though they were on the verge of emptying their stomachs to the floor as their faces became sickly green. Rarity looked as though she was about to faint while Fluttershy appeared to be holding back the urge to weep. Only Twilight and Rainbow managed to keep a semblance of composure (mostly due to exposure to creatures with certain dietary needs) but they still winced a little at the sound of cracking bones from the meal. Not one of them touched their plates while the two continued to clearly enjoy their dinner.

i agree a bit with Fluttershys reaction, but giving the reason for Twilight and Rainbow as being around creatures with similar dietary needs makes it much less realistic if you use that logic, because she falls under that category much more than those two do.

10856089
Hmm, I suppose. To be honest, I had know idea how she'd react. I just thought she'd be the most composed considering the many timess she's been to the human world.

Then again, what would you have suggested?

10856308
i wasn't saying the logic doesn't make sense for them in particular, just that if you don't use it for Fluttershy too then it doesn't work, as she has been around many carnivorous and omnivorous creatures that need that kind of stuff fed to them, and she has been seen feeding her animals fish and such in the show, I would have simply made Fluttershy more composed but showing a bit of uncomfortablness due to it being horse stake specifically as opposed to because its meat

10858433
Oh right, my bad for misinterpreting what you meant. It's just that I've been looking forward to any criticism to improve my stories.

I'll bear what you've said in mind next time.

So, having read this a bit ago, I have a few things to say, only one of which is a complaint.

So let's get that complaint out of the way, why would the near sapient Demi-Plane of Dread, Ravenloft be interested in ANYTHING from Equis?
I never said it was a valid complaint.

First thing I want to compliment is how you explained the logic of each classes abilities as their own ways of channelling and manipulating magic.

Next up, class choice for each character.
I am pretty close to completely agreeing with you on that front.
But I need to address my feelings on Rarity being a Cleric. Granted, your logic here SEEMS to be 7 characters, 7 classes, and i am struggling to think of an alternative to Cleric for her, but my disagreement is there.
Whatever. I'll either get over it or cope somehow.

Another thing I would like to compliment is, surprisingly, the presentation.
I actually feel like I'm sitting in on and watching a live Dungeons and Dragons session when I'm reading the chapters.
The reason this surprises me is because I can remember one, maybe two stories that did something similar in my time here.

Lastly, I just want to say, keep up the good story.

11285786
Oh trust me, I and my DM discussed several reasons as to why Strahd would want anything from Equestria and what we came up got me giddy with excitement on what it could entail. What is this reason? You'll have to find out or send me a mailed message if you want spoilers.

Also, thank you for your support. It helps encourage me to keep on. And yeah, I agree about Rarity being a cleric but to be honest I could not think of a better class for her (it was either Rogue or another Bard).

11285874
... You had my interest with this fic as it is.

That statement gives you a good portion of my attention.

11540931
It's currently on hold until I finish the next chapters of the other fics. (Two more and then I'll work on this)

So it seems we have a funeral to attend to, and possibly a meeting with our titular antagonist, if I recall correctly. Or maybe I'm mistaken. Also, will they need to do the Death House before anything else? Whatever happens next, they're probably going to be sidetracked in the village for a while, what with dream pastries, ghosts, vampire spawn and missing children.

11657045
Unfortunately I have to cut out Death House due to story/writing reasons. It will take an enormous chunk from the story that quite frankly takes away the direction I wanted to go to.

I have written two and a half chapters of Death House, so I will put them up as a side story/deleted scenes along with more in the future.

11714994
Honestly? That's perfectly fair. Given that the Death House is considered one of the weaker starting areas, and seems fairly disconnected from the rest of the story, maybe it's best that the rest of the village opens up. Regardless, I look forward to the coming events.

Rainbow Dash being an insensitive dumbass, Check.

Party correcting her on her behaviour, Check.

Cliffhanger for the next Chapter's horrors, Check.

I'm looking forward to it.

The Curse of Strahd Campaign.
I have bad memories of this Campaign, especially with Strahd's house. a real hell to go through.

11748739
Tell me about it. My Party got TPKed in our Campaign (no, that is not a spoiler for this series).

11748753

to resum
we: were attacked by a group of gargoyles who took a good part of our HP
sent to several random rooms of the castle that our group was separated into two groups.
finding the room where Strahd was by pure (bad) luck.
come across a trap that leads us to a cell in the dungeon.
accidentally released a werewolf
find a lot of money, weapons and magic items.
almost getting killed several times.
rebuild a special anti-vampire weapon. which we have never been able to successfully hit Strahd with.
achieve an instant kill on Strahd with an alchemy book that did nothing to him. (but it was really epic and really funny)
