Well, there aren't any explicit references to it in the body of the text. I would've just put "Set a few years into the future" if the final season didn't suddenly skip decades.

I haven’t given a comment on it since I put this in my library all those months ago, but I’ll comment on this now since the other one was an unnecessarily negative one.

But out of all the M-rated I’ve read here, this is one of my personal favorites. I always find myself coming back to it. You write a damn good lemon, barring a few grammar errors.

Still, just wanted to let you know I’m incredibly fond of this piece.

I don't know why I didn't leave a comment when I first read this last year. It's great. Soarinfire is hands down my favorite pairing in the show and you wrote both of them very well. I especially like the shower scene in the first chapter where spitfire goes to extra length not to hurt soarin's wings when getting him out of the uniform. This scene really touched me, and it unpacked a load of backstory. How they knew each other since foalhood, how they got into the bolts together, how they watched each other's back over the years. It's really touching, and it brings up the soft, caring side of spitfire that's sorely missing in the show. In fact I like the first chapter so much that I would very much prefer if this isn't a clopfic. The first chapter opens up a lot of potential for deeper talk (at soarin's house), about where the two will be heading in the future.

I do find it questionable that spitfire would think soarin' would disappear from her life once he quit the bolts. I mean, they've been through so much together for so many years, what gives her that idea?

I find SoarinFire to be a sorely underrated pairing, especially since it lost favor after "Rainbow Falls", so it's nice to see it still has fans.

And even thought this takes place in between the final two episodes, as long as it doesn't say anything about what was implied with the pairings of a certain pair of Pegasi, I can enjoy this story and speculate how I want regarding couplings.

Yeah, its always nice to see some new soarinfire every once in a while. Almost no one writes them these days.

This was great....
I’m so glad it was added to the soarinfire group and I was able to have a geeze

This was a good story and I enjoyed it.

I do enjoy some Star Trek: Generations as well as some Top Gun.

A good eye there! I had to search for that one, but it's become something of a stock phrase ever since I saw Generations. Glad you enjoyed it!
