It's not easy being the Captain of the Wonderbolts - tough, gruff and often far harsher than she would like to be, Spitfire loves her job regardless. She wouldn't do it if she didn't. But the one thing she hates is the stress it brings with it. And paperwork; there are times when she wants to light a bonfire with all of the official files that pass through her hooves. An explosive bonfire.

So she relishes every chance she gets to let loose and just be herself. Shed the uniform and the responsibilities; don her goggles and fly. To feel the wind under her wings, in her mane - see the water inches from her flashing wingtips, waves cresting behind her in the wake of a powerful burst of smoke and flame. Spitfire lives life on the edge of the wild side and she must confess, she gets just as excited about it as Soarin does pie. This is why she loves those rare days off.

Pity they always seem to end up in disaster.

There's more coming, so don't wait too long!

A little softcore Spitfire x Soarin'. Cute story!

Just finished this chapter.
Oh boy. what a refreshing read. It's been quite a while since I read some QUALITY fluffy soarinfire. And this one, the first chapter alone, already got itself a spot on my favorite soarinfire list. Keep up the good work man! Couldn't wait to see more!
OK on a side note I need to finish my own soarinfire story as well *sigh*

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it - this'll probably be a three shot. Possibly with a sequel from Soarin's perspective. Not sure yet. :applejackunsure: I'll have to see where this goes. And if I feel like writing it, haha. My motivation comes and goes.

Nice. I look forward to more and hope for a bit of development to bring them closer as a couple but this love with a bit of aggressive love-hate to it you defiantly give a different angle than what I usually see in Soarinfire fics, so yea, I like it.

Thank you! Glad you like it - I should have an chapter up tonight, so ... yup! All good.

And their team goes nuts?

I like this chapter a lot. It was a fun read. It felt too short, but it was highly enjoyable. I could really picture their team hovering around them watching, shocked while they did that. It was a simple scene in a lot of ways (although I like the thoughts that goes into it) but the implications of their actions then is pretty big. This is sure to get spread around since they are such big names.

Good job. I cant wait for the next chapter.

Thank you! Glad you're enjoying it!

Pretty solid chapter. Though it feels a little bit rushed: they're hiding it from everyone in the first chapter and then boom! Little make-out in front of the entire squad?
Well nevermind, it's been quite a while since I last read soarinfire so I'm proly just nitpicking. Still quite an enjoyable read. I love the way you portray those delicate details and nuances.
Can't wait for the next chapter!

Planning to give a little more context in the third - and final - chapter, and then again in the sequel. Don't worry!

I'd love to see a sequel to this!!

I wish there was more chapters as the 2 there was were amazing

Rereading for the first time in many years.
Still an enjoyable read.
A shame this never was finished.
