Wow, what an amazing chapter.
Well now we know why twilight is magically weak in this story thus far. IT'S THE ONLY THING THAT'S BEEN KEEPING HER BREATHING.
Pretty sure every supermarket would have been cleared out in the first few days, let alone 4 years. At most you’d find pineapple pizza.

Not if the population in a 20 mile radius was killed from the initial blast, as well as fallout following said initial blast.

Ah yes... spaghettios. Food of the gods. Still to this day I love the stuff and can’t get enough of it. Specially with meat balls. Though I’d doubt Twilight would like that. Also I don’t think her magic is what’s kept her breathing. More like kept her from succumbing from her wounds or dying of exposure. Though I think it’s time she found some thing warmer to wear in this frigid climate. Also I am wondering... wouldn’t Twilights friends be starting to worry about her by now? I believe I remember her saying something along the lines that time flows different between worlds, but she must her been on this world for quite a long time (a month at least, maybe more), going off how weak and starving she is considering her weight loss.
So, i havent seen this brought up yet, but shouldnt they work on getting twilight some camo? Bright lavendar is surely going to stick out in the snowy wasteland they are in. It would probably have to be made from scratch or heavily altered though. Also, once twilight heals, couldnt she enchant a bag or two to hold a lot more food that normal?

All questions to be answered in future chapters :)
I totally ship it.
Think he scored good ammo?

There are a lot of supermarkets and a lot of other places that have food stored. If most of the population dies, the remaining food could last decades. Remember, we overproduce food, and by current estimates, we can feed at least ten billion people if all food was distributed right. So, with most of the human population gone, there would still be a lot of food even if perishables, well, perish.
Hope she didnt heal herself with the bullet logged in her leg
Twioight needs to wrap her hooves in some cloth or make some boots.
Earth pony toughness saves the day as well in my guess on not dying when shot.
One nice thing is the supermarket not having been raided mean not to many survivors in the city or the area as theud be guarding that place if not living in it.
Loving it so far. They aren't rushed, and it feels real. Too many times I've read these story types and it turns into a "hi there we've never met but instantly we like eachother" story in the first two chapters.
Or worse it turns into a "hi ther--and they're already in love."
Stories like this one(well written and good pacing) are needed more.
You missed a couple of typos. Sometimes you have written feints where it should be faints, and Peaked instead of peeked. You might also have a very mild case of lavender unicorn syndrome.
That being said I am not going anywhere until I finish this story, and I like the premise just needs a tad more polish.

Believe it or not, no, the story really isn't inspired by Metro at all. I played the first game and really liked it, but when I started writing this story, I was more just trying to think of my own ideas for the most realistic and likely post-apocalyptical world I could think of happening in real life. I'm glad you're liking the story though :)
