Dun dun DUN!
Famous last words there, Cooper.
A smooth chapter about life in a post apocalypse community. At least he didn't get shot at.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand cue hell in a handbasket next Chaptor,
i've read enough storys with this sorta cliffhanger to know that next Chap everything is gonna go to SHIT for them.

yet,
Wait, I thought Americans called jelly jello, and called jam jelly (or something, typing this out made me even more confused).
I know peanut butter and jelly sandwich's use peanut butter and jam as we'd call it in the UK (Before I knew what was meant, I thought they put actual jelly (Jello?) in the sandwich, which is disgusting), but now I have no idea. And I know Americans use the word 'jam'...
Can someone explain it to me please, the difference between jelly, jello, and jam in American english.
Me: *Thinks about putting an original comment*

Peanut butter and jelly
Chocolate jello in a cup
Jam is crushed fruit/preserves, instead of the “juice” that makes jelly
...that may be the strangest comment I’ve ever written
I sense a great disturbance in the Force.

But like, in what context is jelly used over jam (I know PB&J, but are there others?). And is jello the American English way of saying jelly which is British English?
10463709
Jelly is an American topping used almost exclusively for breads. Jam is the counterpart of jelly and is made of the fruit preserves. Jello is a dessert made of mostly gelatin and has no direct relation to fruit

I get it now, thanks. In British English Jelly and Jam are rolled into one, that's what confused me.

As a chef (former), I'd like to add that preserves, jelly, jam, and Jello are connected by their use of fruit in various ways.
A lot of other people cover it well enough, but don't forget about marmalades and the many forms of Jello that exist.
*Jello is a brand name. anything mixed with gelatin, or one of its starchy cousins, can count as any of the above, based on consistency, thickness, and amount of fruit used. Fruit used also doesn't account for pulp or pieces left in.
That's a general addition to the many comments already submitted and I could write a short book based only on this topic.

Technically, stew could be considered a jam, if you want to broaden the meaning.
So, how is Twilight going to go potty, locked in a room and hiding?
Human toilets aren't built for quadrupedal creatures, and I worry about there being a Sweet Pot handy.
Lol
What comes out of a pony isn't what comes out of a human. How's he gonna cover for biological differences, filling a pot in one night, or horse apples?! Lol
I'm going way too far,I know. Just tired and giggling at Cooper trying to hide a bucket full of Twilight's... droppings, from other people.
It's funny how this chapter's comments are almost all about forms of jelly and not the chapter itself.
You can't nail Jello to a tree...

Well, that was kind of my intention. Surviving in a world like this makes you into less of a person and more of a machine. His actions are more mechanical and methodical instead of more human because that's how you survive in these types of situations. I tried to kind of write that into the story itself.
The main ingredient in jello is gelatin, which along with some other stuff is made from boiled bones and hides of most commonly pigs and cows. Probably best Twilight doesn’t know that.
I feel sorta bad about correcting this one, because it’s an emotional scene, but that should be ‘the’.
Oh no... I have learned from a friend that Jello is not vegetarian. Technically, should be fine, but don’t tell Twilight. It’ll probably be a bit of an unpleasant surprise.

thanks for finding it. I'd rather my emotional scenes be grammatically correct anyways :D
As for the jello... what she don't know, won't hurt her ;)

I imagine if she had to go she could just do it on the roof of a building
Just had a thought...
What if the meat they ate yesterday wasn't actually deer?
Just a thought...
