I actually have hopes to write some stuff of my own at some point on Spike's chubby dragonbutt, and I hope to express it as well as the one, now two, writers I've found who have portrayed it have. Okay, that looks kind of strange now that I read it back, but you get what I mean I am sure.

In the show's point in time, yes, but that's what fanfiction is all about, carving out our own ideas and creations regardless of what is or isn't current in the show. Spike in this is clearly a child/young boy-dragon.
