Fun fact about that sail, by the way, the USS Portland's captain thought it was a flag of surrender, so he got incredibly pissed when they kept fighting. Yuudachi was sunk with extreme prejudice after that for precisely that reason.
Fucking love this by the way, I'm kinda surprised it seems to be the only shipgirl story on here, but maybe I shouldn't be considering just how niche the genre is.

Hey there, glad you loved the story! You're definitely right about the genre being niche, but hopefully that changes some day. There was at least one other story I've read where Twilight was a fleetgirl alongside the others from KC, but I haven't been able to find it again.

That story sounds really interesting, it's a shame it seems to have been deleted if it was on here, because this is the only fic that shows up when using shipgirl related terms.
The only fic I know of that incorporates any sort of MLP stuff into a KC world or vice versa is Harry and the Shipgirls on Spacebattles and Sufficient Velocity, and those are just Re class battleships that act as expies of the Mane 6 with the Twilight expy's tail being a Spike expy.

There's a pretty unique story idea, that's for sure. Truth be told I'm probably gonna write another KC/MLP story; I've already got a few ideas and a couple chapters drafted, so wish me luck!
