Two weeks had passed since Rainbow had filed the adoption papers. Things had been good, but not ...awesome, like she thought they would. The bliss and euphoria had faded and now the seriousness of motherhood it all started to dawn upon her. There had been all those details she had to address. Making sure the school now knew of Scootaloo's situation and her adoption. She had all those other files to fill in at the Mayor's. And all those things she had to buy: school supplies, food, clothes, on and on it went.
And then there were the other, little things. She had to make sure that Scootaloo woke up at appropriate hours - something she had to learn herself and wasn't very good at it. She had to make sure she got to school every day, do her homework as she got home, getting strict when she had to be, to let Scootaloo realize that sometimes duty come before fun – something else Rainbow herself had trouble with sometimes. It was ...hard. She was sure glad it was time for her and her friend's monthly get-together in the Ponyvill Spa.
“Sometimes I just think I made the wrong decision.” Rainbow sighed, soaking in the hottub. “...that I'm not cut out for this.”
