I thought this was pretty neat. Though now I kinda want to see a series of short stories showing those future events. I LOVE immortal stories.
That reminds me, for anyone reading this comment I have been trying to find a story I used to own. It was in a small book I Had that contained a collection of short horror and/or strange stories. I remember one was The Monkeys Paw. The one I'm trying to find was about a young man who was in love with a girl but refused to marry her until he could support her financially even though she didn't care as long as they were together. She told him that she had an obligation to her family and would marry whoever they arranged for her even though she loved only him so he now had a time limit. Eventually he got a job with an alchemists and was able to make enough to make him feel like he could support her properly. Him and his girl get married. The alchemists had been working on his life goal..to make an elixir. I don't recall what he called it...something like a vitality or longevity elixir something along those lines. It was kinda vague on what it might do and the main character assumed it was kind of like what we'd use energy drinks for but better . The alchemists had stayed up for like 3 days straight working on the elixir and finally had to sleep, giving our main character instructions on how to complete the elixir and giving him a warning not to drink it no matter how much it called him to do so. He of course drank some...there was some panic by someone and the she thing gets knocked over or lit o fire or something and at first the alchemists was angry or upset that his life work was ruined but died happy knowing it worked when He realized that dude drank it. The main char felt more alive or more energetic and this lasted for about a week making him think that was all the elixir did. As him and his wife got older he still looked young while she got old. They even had to move a few times and pretend to be mother and son as there had been accusations of witchcraft once or twice. He had become immortal or something and I remember the end was more.like his wife died and he still.lives and doeant.know how long maybe forever.
If anyone knows what this story is called I would appreciate it. I've searched online and offline for this story and can't find it. If it helps it was probably a rather old story...maybe around E.A. Poe ish era? And the book I owned I had around I dunno 1998-2001 ISH perhaps.

No, I think it was a lighting blue and might have had a black skull in the cover. Unfortunately the monkeys paw and the other story are the only two I can remember being in the book.
Really - isn't it enough that people do this with Twilight, Celesta and everyone - now we need to make OCs just for the job?
(Oh, and by the way, the more immortals, the less lonely it gets. If it took him fifteen years to make the thing from scratch, I imagine i will be a lot quicker now he knows the recipe.)
