Well, in my opinion, if they're smart, they'll surrender.
But then again, like the Zebras (and especially their idiot leader. Zakia), the Caribou aren't exactly really known for their intelligence, so I figure they'll end up choosing to fight.
And consequently get their sorry asses slaughtered, as a result.

Hello Whitewolf_Stormrunner,
And yes, after the final fall of the Zebras, the Caribou will be next. However, this is where the war switches gears. The war goes from being easy, shoot-em-up battles, to lengthy, drawn-out conflicts resembling WW6. Also unlike the Zebras, Caribou leadership is much more competent, at least in the military department. Leaders like Colonel Stuggs, and especially General Rodin, are the best that there is. They know that messing with Humanity is dangerous, but their king, Danin, doesn't seem to realize it. He's confident in his military might, (which is on a scale that even the Zebras can't match) will carry the day.
However, Hell hath no fury like a former human-wolf, now human-bat-pony, who has had his mate stolen from him, and THEN given to another! The war in the Cariobu Empire will decide the final fate of Equestria, the Caribous, and the Humans. I'm building up to that, and I know that it will be good.
8655788 Okay.
And yeah, this:
is just exactly why the old saying "Pride goeth before the fall" is so accurate when it comes to some of these dictators.
Hitler was the same way, if my knowledge of history serves me correctly.
And look where it got him; a burned out corpse in a shallow hole in he ground outside his Berlin bunker.
And that is just exactly what I'm looking forward to.

Hello Whitewolf-Stormrunner,
and yes, it was prideful arrogance that has led the Zebras to their doom. It will be more prideful arrogance that will see the Caribous facing warfare unlike ANYTHING that they have EVER SEEN! Zakia is turning into Hitler. He gave command to a sergeant, Faul, after making him a general. He still believes that the Zebras can win, even though we Humans have won every battle. He is deluding himself, and it will cost him, VERY dearly!
And you want some Caribou killing action? Oh, it will COME! The Caribou will be shown the errors of their ways, and they may not be around long enough to acknowledge it!
Remember Cole and Dan, as both of them will be vital parts to the downfalls of the empires that hold them prisoner. Also, remember Missy, the Caribou cow who became Cole's BFF/girlfriend, (cowfriend?) in this chapter. She will be important too, as will Candeth, the Zebra power plant technician that I sliced up and sent to Zakia, (Who I already mention in this chapter, even though I don't name him until the next chapter) All of the puzzle pieces are starting to fall into place. When they form a complete puzzle, Equestria, will never be the same again.
8656209 Hey.
1. Cool. I can't wait to see that happen.
2. My reaction to this?
3. Again, cool. Looking forward to all of it!
As to that last bit, methinks that that is gonna be more than a bit of an understatement!
Oh, and just in case I've never mentioned it, wolves are my fave animal, too.
(Well, like my second fave, right behind horses.)
In fact, my OC Wolf's special talent as evidenced by her Cutie Mark?
She's able to communicate with sentient (non-speaking) flesh-and-fur wolves (like we have here on Earth), as well as the wooden Timberwolf variety, in the same way that Fluttershy can with all other animals.
Slightly OT to this, but have you ever checked out a comic called Elfquest?
The reason that I ask is that the main tribe of elves in it are called the "Wolfriders".
Mainly because they are wolf-blooded, and as the tribe's name suggests, they bond with, and ride, wolves.
Here's a link to their website, just in case you're interested:

Hello again Whitewolf_Stormrunner,
And I'm glad that you can't wait for all of what I'm about to write. I can't wait either, and I'm the one writing it!
And your OC is really cool too.
And I haven't heard of that comic. I'll have to look into it some time.
I need to ask: is Aurora a talking wolf or anthro now?
8658687
Hello KR Chrome,
And Aurora is an ordinary wolf. (In reality, she's actually a combination of a wolf, a husky, and a german shepherd.) She also has the ability to talk, thanks to special implants that she was given during WW6. I also think that I may have hinted at this, but Aurora was actually a prototype for the next generation of dogs used for Navy SEAL training. This is why she had both German Shepherd, and wolf blood in her, as well as the talking implants, why she was slightly larger than normal, and had her own suit of battle armor. I found her all alone during a battle in North Dakota, and my working theory is that she was put through the program, but was later rejected when it was found that she also had husky blood in her as well. She then either escaped from her training facility, or it was destroyed, then I later found her, and adopted her. I later found proof verifying this, but when I tried to return Aurora, I was told that the base where this project was located at had been destroyed in an air raid and missile strike, with Aurora being the only survivor. She then became the unofficial mascot of the Battleship Express, and was infamous for her kill streaks during some battles.
and this story shows why.. in a way.. that humans are gods of war..

Hello Shadowshooter,
And yes, that was my original intent, to show that Humans really are the TRUE masters of warfare. “No greater friend than Humanity, no worse enemy!” The Caribou and the Zebras found THIS out the hard way!

Fear me for I am human.
Another bit of math issues.
At 30mph (the current minimum estimation of either train) a mile would be traversed in 2 minutes. Two trains approaching each other at 30mph each would collide in 1 minute. Then we have one train increasing speed. "Estimated time of impact" would now be seconds. Not 3 minutes.
Solution: Have the radar spot them 4 or 5 miles out instead. 3 miles out would have the original impact time at 3 minutes (assuming solid 30mph per train). 4 or 5 miles out gives a bit of room to play with while still making it an urgent situation.
[Edit] Or after reading further and seeing that "ramming speed" was the chosen play, changing the impact time to 40 seconds would work as well.

Hello Solana Vin Neighpal,
And yeah, you got me here. Again, math is NOT my strong point, and I should probably fix it. Around 40 seconds you say? Might have Joe say "Less than a Minute" just to be safe.
