And yes, This is how Leopard described himself, at least at the time. In a later chapter, Rainbow Dash confronts him about shutting the world out, and he FINALLY reveals the answer. Over time, he also begins to warm up to her.

Also, I pictured Dash looking something like this in the story.

And yes, I does get better as it goes along. I was still working on ironing out my writing skills, although, this was a conversation between a girl in love, and a tsundere. The other bit was Don being uncertain. He wasn't sure who was in charge, or how of them were in charge. He just said it that way to cover all angles.

The Caribou were used to senior officers being older, and Don looked a bit younger than he was. He was 26, and a Major, but looked like he was only about 20. But yeah, not too smart coming from a Caribou who's being held at gunpoint!

And yeah, you're right. As you'll later see, the Battleship Express is able to ram through barricades, blockages on the tracks, and even plow through other trains with impunity because of her size, weight, speed, and that modified plow-catcher on the front of the engine with metal spikes on it.
