I chased a rainbow down a one way street- dead end.

You ever get so lost in the woods behind your house that you wound up in another world? Because Link did. Twice. Now he must attempt to find his way home, assuming the timberwolves and giant equines do not get to him first. Or perhaps he can learn how to be a child again. There's just one way to find out.

Updates random and likely infrequent. In the name of being different, instead of making a disclaimer of how I don't own it, I'm going to come out and say I own Nintendo and Hasbro.

I’m already liking the story. It’s honestly pretty rare to find a well written crossover fic that isn’t “too” out there if you catch my drift. Anyways, keep up with the good work.

Yay!!! I honestly thought that you already gave up lol. Glad to have another chapter. Again, Great work

I got at least a few more chapters in me! Glad you're enjoying so far.

Interesting work. A few grammar mistakes here and there but nothing major.
Looking forward to how you will develop it.

You have my attention. Interesting so far, looking forward to more.

I like your style. Hope to see more!

My only problem woth this story is the chapters are too short. Ah well, still enjoying. And I meant to say this last time, but some part of my brain is taking what Pinkie said about her doozy and how you described Navi and making a connection that Twilight might be Navi.

Not even Gummy was with her- he was out doing Gummy things.

Meaning, he is philosophizing about the meaning of life somewhere.

Pinkie sighed. "I have been doing some thinking girls. I think you're right."
"About what?" asked Rainbow. "How dogs can, in fact, look up?"
"No," sighed Pinkie. "And they can't. Winona is just trying to trick you.

Yeah, that makes sense. :pinkiecrazy::rainbowlaugh::trollestia:

oh sh!t I hope this isn't going where I think it is going.

Please tell me you didn't already figure out that Link accidentally trips and scuffs Kim Jong Un's shoe, leading to thermonuclear war. Because that's chapter 9ine.

Is it just me, or are the chapters shrinking?

Does he still have the spells the Great Fairies gave him? That could come in real handy here.

Here, I'm thinking... Doesn't Link normally carry around a handy stash of destructive/mobility objects? Depending on which game his loadout is from, these may include hookshot/clawshots, useful as escape- or explosives of various sorts, from bombs to bombchus to even bombarrows. Then there's the games with fire/ice arrows... Not even counting the various stun-the-enemy abilities Link often gets.

Maybe he's out of bombs, worried about burning down the forest... Or wishes to save the rabbit while he's at it?

That's all going to be covered next time we see him. I don't think that's the very next chapter, but the one after. I'll have to check my notes.

Keep in mind, after his first fight with a timberwolf, he decided that his curiosity wasn't worth his life and was attempting to return home to better arm himself. What that means is ultimately covered once we are with him again.

Ah, fair point, I had forgotten.

I agree, and besides, aren't Timberwolves, while undoubtedly dangerous, low ranking monsters in equestria?
The future sure doesn't look bright for Link if he can't deal with them...

To be fair, the author did say that Link left a lot of his tools at home and was trying to go back and rearm.

Link is a force to be reckoned with yes, but keep his description of them in mind as towering over him. That in addition to their numbers, Link having left a good bulk of his stuff at home, etc means this is not going to be an easy fight for him.

Many of his enemies 'towered' over him, and quite a few of them happened before he had his more destructive gear.
Take Gohma for instance, he defeat it with nothing but a Kokiri Sword and Shield (and absolutely no training and less than a day of experience in wielding them) and a Slingshot...
Link's main trait in my mind has been always his capability to adapt to any situation and overcome it.

Yes, but he did not have to fight seven+ of Gohma, never mind a Gohma that could regenerate the damage Link dealt out.
Come to think of it, I don't think he ever fought something that could regenerate like that in Ocarina of Time/Majora's Mask. Except like two skeleton things.

Did he? I can't remember.

Maybe the Leevers and the wallmasters could fall in that category, since no matter how many you killed more would appear for as long as you stayed in the area.

i think you need to lower the price a bit. i almost couldn't afford it.

I already gave you 0% off. What more do you want from me?

It would make an excellent song.

Link stole a glance at his shield. This attack alone proved enough to cause serious damage to it. The paint was all but removed and the scratches and dents were becoming a real issue. Perhaps it was better if he died, then? It would save him from having to pay a smith to repair his shield for him.

...What? :applejackunsure:

Dead men don't pay smiths.
Or in this case, dead children.

yay! short, but a nice slice of life anyways. i was curious... you mentioned in the earlier chapters navi flew 'into the sun'... hmmm.... perhaps she is in equestria as one of the ponies? or maybe somehwere in a forest?

We will be covering Navi's whereabouts way further in the story. Potentially in a sequel?
Everyone knows Navi is actually just a cleverly disguised redead. You can recognize it by her trademark screams of "Hey! Listen!" (They paralyze you)

LOLl i haven't heard that one before, that's good! xD mind if i share that?

Twilight decided at that moment that Murphy could die in a fire.

Murphy? Did I miss something?

Also good chapter.

Loyalty doesn't mean stupidity. I'm fairly certain Rainbow made a good call, even if it probably will come back to bite her.

to be fair, twilight is slightly to blame as well. her mentality makes her think it has to be absolutely perfect no matter what. and thus she keeps redoing it over and again.

In hindsight, I should have ended it with "Element of Self Preservation." Damn.

This is why she needs to xanax.

It was a battle to not scratch the incessant itching of his butchered leg.

I know your pain brother. I'm fighting the same battle right now.

"Good morning sleepyhead," smiled the pegasus. "How did sleep?"

Think of it as the speech barrier being too much even for her. So she has to shorten sentences and lose a few words in order to get a point across.

Might I recommend a nice bottle of apple jack Daniels. They say that one sip is enough to make you forget your woes in the blink of an eye.

hey i just thought of this if you own Hasbro and Nintendo can i have ponies in smash bro's or something similar or at least revoke those cease and desist letters you had your company write to all the artists who draw, animate and made music since a lot of the music artists quit making brony music i'm blaming Hasbro

you not gonna share that scotch?

You can have the bottle when it's empty.
"Oh, but if you drink like that, you'll die!"

Which continuity is this Link from?
