When I was a foal I always looked up at the stars with a sense of wonder. Just the idea that all of those little twinkling lights were other suns, many with other planets, some of which were inhabited by other ponies. It blew my young little mind. I knew I wanted to go out there and see what more was out there.
And that's exactly what I'm going to do.
I have a ship, exploration equipment, and enough dehydrated food to last a full fourteen months. I'm going where nopony has gone before. Who knows what I'll discover.
Here's hoping I don't go nuts after spending several months in such a small ship...

2. It's a pony version of the Elite dangerous galaxy. Ponies instead of humans. Therefore Equis instead of Earth and Cel instead of Sol.

Nice to see explorers life story, but it gets annoying when in new games, with millions of times teh resources, they remove things that were in older games. Or claim, oh no, it doesnt matter that its childrens function that run on less than a dollar store calculator, we aint going to give you auto landing because it makes the game too easy, etc. Ever notice that with Klingons, the ships computer takes over in battle because they know perfectly well it can react and plan far faster than they can?

The computer that let you play this game, was less than 100 times more powerful than the computer that actually controlled the Moon rocket, and that in itself can easily be ten Million times less powerful than a modern gaming machine.

Discovering a rare world should give good bonuses? then again, Elite had to go with worlds, because if they had gone with Kuiper Belt and Oort cloud, noone wouldve gotton out of the system through processing planetary masses of resources instead of the odd megaton heere and there.
A truely incentivised space faring race, could turn Ceres, Sols largest asteroid, so nothing special at all, into a fleet of approximately a thousand million ships the size of a Star Destroyer.
Which makes the Fermi Paradox all the more confusng.
Is E:D using trues RNG, or so that everyone can explore teh same region of space, Procedural pseudo RNG? Wonder if anyone has tried running the reverse, to see what numbers give which worlds, or stripping out the navigation code from the graphics engine so they can divide space up into system sized chunks and spew basic resource maps that way?
