This story's cute. Yes, it was short, but I think that was a good thing. Seeing as how there's very little that actually happens (not that that's a bad thing), making the story much longer would have stretched the plot too thin, if you take my meaning.
But as it stands, you have a nice little story. And its short length almost makes it feel like a fairy tale. Good job!
