An ordinary young man who is obsessed with magical stories finds himself wishing he could really do magic, when suddenly he appears in Equestria as a young unicorn foal. He decides to ask around for advice from other unicorns about doing magic, and even enrolls in a certain magical unicorn school run by a princess. In addition to learning how to use his newfound magical power, he also needs to find out what his Special Talent is and get his cutie mark.
