Power occasionally comes with a price.
Getting your brains blasted with enough magic to make manehattan glow for a decade is a small price to pay for being an alicorn.
It's still a price, though. It comes with drawbacks.
Twilight Sparkle's still trying to learn to deal with it.

For those curious about what i was listening to during the writing process.

Great movie, great opening tune.

7935599 Probably my favorite segment in that movie, too. Dark as the dickens, but very well constructed - and heck, i'm a big Eagles fan.

Need a sequel to this where her friends and Celestia find out, and help her... :fluttercry:

A fascinating take on the aftereffects of ascension via giant magical laser barrage, disturbing in how well it captures the rise and fall of sensory overload. I find myself conflicted; I don't want Twilight to go through this ordeal ad infinitum, but I can't deny that this was quite well-written.

I reviewed this story as part of Read It Later Reviews #72.

My review can be found here.

So being an alicorn causes sensory overload?
