The Hearth's Warming season is a time for celebration, and for family.
Diamond Tiara and Pipsqueak have never been the best of friends, but when he finds her sitting alone in the cold, he knows something is wrong. Nopony should be alone that close to Hearth's Warming. So to keep her company, he offers to tell her a story. A very special story, from Trottingham.

Interesting Story. I haven't got enough time to read it all now, but I like what I've seen so far. Trottingham and it's culture is one of the locations in the show that hasn't really been elaborated on, and this fic does an excellent job of adding some meat on those bones.

This was a really good story, and the dynamic between Pip and Diamond Tiara was really cute.
I guess this isn't in continuity with "The Quest for Crackers" despite going off the same headcanon. Either way, it's very vivid, in scenery and characters both.

Yes, I'm afraid so. I prefer to keep all my stories in the same continuity, and actually considered making it a direct sequel for a while. But, as The Quest for Crackers never really got that popular and I figured the connection would scare people away more than enrich it, I opted for a slightly modified continuity instead. Ultimately the only difference is that Diamond doesn't know who Tannenbaum is, rather than merely not knowing his story, which is easier on new readers.

And the bolding is a bit confusing since you used it for the majority of the story after that voice was speaking. Wouldn't it make more sense to just have the voice bold?

Drat, thank you for pointing that out. Bolding the voice is what I had originally done, but it seems the transfer over to Fimfiction messed with the formatting. That's what I get for not checking it after uploading it, I guess.
