Damn. He didn't deserve it. Hope Blueblood will pony up, train and kick that Iron's cutiemark into oblivion.

i steeled myself to not feel bad for blueblood before i started to read but now i feel bad for him

Wow, this turned out to be a lot better than I'd expected it to be. It also turned out to be a lot darker than I was expecting it to be. I want to feel bad for Blueblood. I really do. But then I think of what the servants must have had to put up with for years, and that maid saying that this was how Blueblood acted on a good day.

6782 Yeah, that does make me wonder if there will eventually be an epic showdown between them.

more please! very good :pinkiehappy:

Wow that's all i have to say wow keep it up this im almost dieing to see the next chapter :rainbowkiss:

Hay man how goes the story looks like its been a little wile since you updated :twilightsheepish:

I try to update the chapters once a week, on Sundays. The first draft of the next one is done, but it's going through edits, reviews and revisions right now. Don't worry, it'll be up this Sunday.

Damn, that's harsh. Real harsh. I'm starting to really want so see badass Blueblood-rebel.

Psychologically now he seems quite unstable, too many changes it too little time. Or he go mad, passively do nothing or incapable to effectively acting or gain any skill at all, or he simple explode, go mad with rage, anger and sadness until all end, free or dead. This story won't be easy, we all expect some gruesome end for the two now, both the ambassador and iron, if Blueblood is incapable of being himself anymore, like he will never consider himself more than an object... Celestia if nothing more than keeping the image of state, to make clear that no one can mess with her or her subject, well it will be exemplar.

What I'm waiting for is the look on everyone's faces when he finally makes it home (I'm assuming he makes it home). Those certainly will be expressions to remember...

I haven't read this yet, but... ever read March Upcountry? :moustache:

I'll admit that I haven't. From it's wiki page though, I see what you're getting at - it takes a bit of different turn, though. I, of course, suggest giving it a read. And come to think of that I may have to actually look into that book - it looks wonderfully pulp. Thanks!

life is a battlefield unleass you stand up and fight the demons of the world will destroy you

You know, I'm glad you taking it slow, it gives more emotions and stuff but.... GIMME BADASS BLUEBLOOOD NAO!!!!! :pinkiehappy:

When I saw the title of the chapter (In which Home is found) I was like :flutterrage:

Then I realised it was talking about his 'new' home.

Come on where his all his strength of will? Make him at least some defiant of his fate.

After reading this im really hopeful that some light comes into Blu......Reds life i know if he makes it back to the castle everyone including his servants will be amazed in how muck he has changed and how humble he is about life :derpyderp2:

Absolutely phenomenal story! One of the best I have ever read here - a true gem! Very highly recommended. 5 stars is way too LOW to truly show my appreciation.

Blue blood is a ... You know already

Wow. It's always stories like this are what makes this fandom so interesting. The way you crafted the characters to blend seamlessly with the setting is nothing short if professional quality. That, combined with the heartfelt and insightful dialogue between the two characters, make this one of my favorite works on this site. I look forward to seeing more updates in the future.

Some weare rarity is laughing meniackly at blue bloods fate :raritywink:

Master Kegisak, when can we expect to read more of this gem? It's been over a week and a week without The Colour You Bleed is a week lost :).

It'll be up later today, don't you worry. It's sitting in a review thread right now waiting for a look over, but I'll still post it whether or not the reviewer can get around to it.

Simply superb, as always! I will be waiting for the next chapter! Why do I have to do injustice to this story by offering ONLY 5 stars? It's not nearly enough!

So... much... angst, not what I want to read in the morning. I really hope he pulls his head out of his ass soon

Now it's on FimF?! AWESOME! It'll (Hopefilly) be quicker/easier to keep track of when the story updates this way, thanks! Trevor LOVES this fic A LOT!

~ Magical Trevor, Minstrel of Equestria

A most engaging tale, To be honest I wished something bad would effect BlueBlood
ever since I watched the gala episode (where he was being a real ****)
good work!

Ever see Captains Courageous? That's what really got me into this story, and I was just passing through. This story reminds me of that movie. I love that movie, and now I love your story as well. I do hope things turn out well.

Your Faithful (and repentant) Student,
Twilight Sparkle.
I don't like that. For some reason that makes me feel weird. That's something you say to God after a prayer. What does she have to be repentant for?

34179

Well, in the context of the chapter she was apologizing for jumping to conclusions. Repentant may have been a bit too heavy a word, I'll admit, but it seemed like the sort of thing Twilight would say when she was very sorry.

I just finished reading what you have so far of the story, and all I can say is: WOW! Write more please and soon? I really like what you've done here with Blueblood, even if I cringed at first at what happened with his horn. To be fair, it is labelled with a dark tag and I should have noticed that.

An inspiring story. It's rare that a story can make me feel sorry for Blueblood. You have my full attention. *faves & tracks*

Small note: Ch7 has a different title in the Google Docs version, for some reason.

SO. MUCH. POSH. :trollestia: Okay,I admit I skipped though some parts, but I do understand the main storyline. Come on Blueblood!

There isn't a rating that's good enough for this MASTERPIECE! 6 stars are not NEARLY enough. It's one of the best chapters so far (don't make me choose the best one as I simply cannot do so...). TRULY **EXCELLENT** WORK. I don't deserve it, but could I have M O A R of this? please...

Oh god, this is like a drug to me. I can't help but feel a Count of Monte Cristo vibe to it; hopefully Blueblood ponies up and comes back to the throne Equestria deserves! :rainbowdetermined2:

Im in awe that clestia didn't put a tracker in blue blood

Lol, Trevor read this before he went to church, and was VERY annoyed that he couldn't make a comment on his phone! Anyhoof, as you know, Trevor has been, and will continue to be, an AVID follower of this fic! Thank you VERY much for your hard work, and please keep it up! 8D

I...I have nothing to say......This is amazing.

Sorry, I'm not quite sure what you're referring to when you mention irony here.

*sniff sniff* I-I bring a message from the herd.
You are a master of the words, the herd is ecstatic for the next chapter! You are now an honorary chairpony of the herd! We hope to hear from you and may you live happily!
Also, I am to give you your own button to the Orbital Friendship Cannon and this small badge decreeing you are a chairpony of the herd. If you need a message sent for the herd, let me know.

And now, I sign off!
Godspeed you magnificent bastard-BlazingShadowBrony

*After the message* Hic! Oh Celestia! :fluttercry: :applecry: :applecry: No! :fluttershbad: I will not cry! I will not cry...WAAA! :fluttercry: :fluttercry:

I was so scared that Iron had won him... What a relief it was to hear him and Letter arguing about how they had lost him. :ajsleepy:

Started reading this story without much enthusiasm but after a couple of chapters it quickly became one of my favorite stories, eagerly reading each new chapter as soon I see it.

So far a solid 5/5
Keep up the good work and thank you for giving us something so great to read during our spare time. :)

This is so well written...
I feel like this isn't a fanfic at all, but instead a story that would have fanfics based off of it. If that makes any sense...:twilightsheepish:

He had it coming...but taking an axe to his horn.....op much.

I won't be writing a comment this time. The reason is simple - this is better than any praise I could have thought of in any language. Simply excellent in absolutely every way. I won't offend you asking for MOAR. I am not worthy of doing so... Just write for the others and I will happily read all of it :).

A yet another great chapter to lighten up my day! Cheers.

On a side note, when the smith's wife asks if Blueblood is a foreigner, there was a line "He seemed more succinct -THAT- usual, to Blueblood.", was it supposed to be "then" rather then "that"? Sorry for the grammar Nazi approach :pinkiesad2:
