My tracked stories haven’t updated in about two months and then here you come with this update! Wonderful work

Wonderful chapter from Twilight in the Library, giving a twisted sense of the lesson on guilt and and handling that with failure. Seeing Rainbow weakened was tense and exciting and seeing that Twilight was the key to making it happen and then becoming the sole controller of her for now was super. It makes me wonder what will happen if Twilight starts to gain more dominating characteristics. With her power of hypnosis now, who knows where that could lead. It could be good or bad for Starlight. It was certainly fun to see Rainbow at Twilight's feet and to see Twilight's thoughts on that and how she used Rainbow's enthusiasm for the Wonderbolts. Seeing Twilight's fall is amazing and it only makes me wonder if she could surpass Starlight if she gains too much taste for power and control.

At the end of the chapter, Starlight puts her back under. I'm guessing here, but I would assume that Starlight will probably take this thought into account and set conditions in Twilight about her dominant traits, particularly that they are not at anytime to fight against her control. After the scare with Rainbow, I doubt she would leave something like that to chance, especially as Twilight actually hesitated initially, showing Starlight, that she may still need to put in further control sessions with Twilight in the future, despite her clear submission.

Group dinner will be interesting. I guess we'll see some of the subterfuge commands she installed in Twilight in use there.

As I blow through my self-imposed deadlines time and again, I won't offer any specific estimate of the next chapter for OiM, but I would expect it to be on the order of weeks, not months. Haven't decided what the next chapter's name will involve the group dinner on the train.

When Twilight started exulting with Celestia's name, I suddenly had a thought: What if she accidentally said Starlight's name instead of "oh Celestia", because of how her mind is working now? That would trigger a seriously awkward, and perhaps dangerous moment if done at the wrong time, methinks.

There's one spot where Twilight ordered Rainbow to stand up, but you used Twilight's name instead of Rainbow.

My god I love this fic. Just how everything actually takes time and the fact you can see the cause and effect of pretty much every action in such perfect detail. So many other fics I’ve read just instantly get to the control part with any sense of pace, making whole thing just seem clumsy.

It’s kinda funny though that when I watch the actual show now, especially the Starlight Glimmer episode, I start thinking, is she doing this for friendship or just to get better control of everybody. I’m not saying you’ve ruined the character or the show for me or anything like that, I just like to play around with it. Maybe you will eventually get to those episode situation, like meeting Trixie or helping the royal sisters later in the future. Be interesting to see how those events play out with this version of Starlight

Really can’t wait to see where this is going and by the looks of it this is gunna be the first time we see “twilight the girlfriend” for a long set period of time. Until then I guess I’ll just have to read this chapter another 5 times to get my OiM fix.

Poor Rainbow, just how will the rest of the girls figure out what's going on now?

I can actually see Twilight getting Rainbow fully under control quite quickly. After all, it's just a matter of convincing Rainbow that the most loyal course of action is to obey her, and she seems quite far along that line.

I have to say, this story certainly elicits some conflicting emotions, for me. While the central kink is expertly executed, I am personally unsettled by the long-term implications. I know that other commenters have mentioned that they don't like when stories like these end in karmic retribution, but the thought of these beloved characters so thoroughly violated without consequence seems wrong to me.

I have no idea what the author is planning for the finale, but I know what I'd like to see...

Starlight, after overcoming many difficulties, finally succeeds in fully breaking the Mane 6. Their former personalities and desires are wiped clean, leaving only their lust and need to serve her whims. But something is missing. Her revenge is complete, but why does she still feel so... Empty? The feeling won't leave her mind, and she starts distractedly leafing through books in Twilight's old room. Her eyes fall on a passage that it appears was written by Twilight herself.

"I can feel it. I know that Starlight is influencing my thoughts. I can see it in her eyes--her fear, her rage. She doesn't trust me, she thinks I will abandon her as she believes everyone else has. All these friendship lessons aren't enough, she will never be free of these doubts--she will never believe in herself--until she can work through her fears. She needs to know that she can rely on somebody. She needs me to be hers. This is my ultimate duty, as princess of friendship, to my pupil. I will make this sacrifice, so that perhaps, one day, she may know peace. I only hope she will make the right choice, in the end."

She drops the book to the floor, and looks down at her Twi-slave, naked, stripped bare in body and mind. Once, she had been the princess of friendship, the one person who had ever really trusted her. Trusted her enough to relinquish her very soul. But nothing remained of that regal nobility, now. Only the demeaned and broken pet she forced her to become. All around her stood the mockery of the friendships she could have known, if only she had understood what that meant.

...I think it's important to remember that, even if evil succeeds, it never really wins.
