I feel your pain
Extremely emorional scene dude, love the way that you work with words. The way you portrayed them in the park and the phrase "For a thousand heartbeats" killed me, in a positive way
You got a good hand with emotions, particularly showing the inside of a characters head
Wow, getting that letter as a parent would be devastating.
Genuine, crushing, sledgehammer blows of pure Sad. You have done it well. I rarely see a good sadfic, but without even naming this stallion you have made me emotionally invest in him knowing full well his fate was sealed from the moment he mentioned being eternally cold. That takes skill, and I applaud you heartily for it.
