Well since he almost got rape and is fearing of a voice telling him to do things, I wouldn't exactly think he would be hungry as a matter of fact, it will made more sense if he goes to the farm tell AJ that he is afraid because a voice is in his head (avoiding the Rarity problem) and then SHE suggest going to sugar cube corner and guide him there.
By the way you might need to edit that or he goes to the farm first because remember, he is visiting, only had being in the farm, probably AJ only gave him directions to the boutique and Pinkie forgot to give him directions on the piece of paper.
And yeah he could ask or look around but A) if he has zero social skills how is he going to ask to strangers? and B) with how colourful and bizarre everything is, he could thing the gingerbread house is just a house, or he could be looking for an ACTUAL sugar cube, since ponies take some things a bit literal.
……Plus I really wanted to know how he reach there with AJ, and Pinkie glare at him saying she say 'come along' before shutting her mouth and try to come up with a lie

My issue is that all mares looks like is going throw hit, I mean AJ agree to a freaking 3 way with only a please, and Twilight idea for a test was, lets had sex, specially with the whole 'lets put a collar on him for not reason what so ever' unless the collar alter his libido, in witch case they need to take it away, right away, before a mare success on raping him by only commanding him to do so that is my only fear so far
