6114354 I have my own suspicions about the whole portal thing. I believe that it is indeed a portal into a human universe, but it is not ours. I believe that these may be portals to a planet where bugs are the supreme predators. Otherwise, some Earth bugs just might be the size of ponies.

6115611 I'm thinking it's a fantasy world. Obviously not a dangerous one like Warhammer, or even The Elder Scrolls to a lesser degree, but still out there enough to pose a threat to a bunch of tiny pastel herd creatures.

Ok, not quite as bad as I first thought it was going to be, but still... interesting... though since the story is tagged 'Human' it is relatively simple to see where this may be going. I hope this story manages to make the trope more appealing.
