I hope we see more of Rage-Caed in the future.

How long is the anime shit supposed to last?
Honestly two chapters of it and nothing of plot relevance happening isn't fun.
Hell it even fucks with the continuity of the established story.
If Caed was always this strong and fast and anime-protagonist-esque why did it take him so long to get the unicorns needed to save his people. Did he not care? Was he just not mad enough to turn into super saiyabullshit 9001? Why didn't he just capture the princesses, or Nightmare? None of them are a real threat to him.

I don't know what you were trying to do with Caed, but this chapter shows that he was obviously just dicking around before. Which would be fine if everything about him wasn't tied into saving his people.

My first instinct is to agree with you in totality; that he’s coughing blood and apparently getting weaker isn’t enough of a vulnerability. His ability to turn on ultra mega super bullshit mode isn’t costly enough for that to have been of any relevance had Caed been capable of taking his ruthless pragmatism to its logical extremes and fully committed to a first strike aimed at decapitating Equestria’s ability to respond. The only reason Equestria stands a chance in hell is because, despite the Rouge Knights feeling fully justified in kidnapping and murdering civilians, fighting dishonourably is somehow a cardinal sin.

tl;dr: Dear Lupine Infernis, if you wish to maintain the barest hint of verisimilitude you’re going to tone the anime‐esque horseshit the fuck down and concoct some plausible explanation for why Caed didn’t just curb‐stomp Equestria single‐handedly straight from the beginning.

While the battle was cool and all, I gotta agree with the others. With Caed being this damn powerful why not just push aside NM from the beginning and do whatever needs to be done? During the battle it seemed that whatever power he was drawing from was having some effect on him, but even at the end it didn't seem he was worse for wear and he only left because his friends were injured.

Glad to see some more character growth for NM at the end there. I'm still really looking forward to where she's going to end up as a character going forward. It seems she's getting closer and closer to accepting her emotions and her relationships to others. Even Twilight seemed surprised by NM's reaction to Vinyl being hurt.

Honestly, the part where everyone is completely unwilling to just stand down for five minutes and actually communicate is much more grating than the anime superpowers. From the knights who will do literally anything rather than actually ask for help to the Dumbass Squad that made a deal with its worlds' closest equivalent to Satan Himself because 'boo hoo hoo my parents didn't respect me.'

It's hard to read or like a story where everyone keeps acting both like a complete moron and a complete monster, but is continuously rewarded for it.
