This is a good story. It's getting a little slice of lifey. But that isn't necessarily a bad thing. It took an unexpected turn after Tarnishs night on the town but so far I am liking it. Can't wait for more updates

Will soon return to life on the road.
YAY for frizzy manes!
Hmm. A homecoming, inasmuch as Ponyville is Tarnish's home anymore. It should be interesting to see what comes of that, especially given the whole "banishment" thing.
Also, hooray for reasonable fathers.
Will her mane go back? Or is it stuck as frizzy
Hahahahaa, nice job!
...
I know the feel bro... I know dat feel.

“Help you what, son?” Igneous replied.
Should be. “Help you with what, son?” Igneous replied.
Igneous wants to protect Maud, but he doesn't want to foolishly drive Tarnish away, thus alienating Maud. And he obviously likes Tarnish, and wants him to marry her.
Hmm...
I know this story is already completed, so the answer's already waiting for me, but I've gotta write out who I think Tarnish's father is before I find out.
This is completely off the wall thinking, but I liked the idea too much to let it go.
Was Tarnish's mom a virgin when she was pregnant with him? I just have this weird notion that she ran away from home for some stupid reason or was out exploring and ended up in a patch of Poison Joke and the joke it played on her was having her be suddenly pregnant. She didn't find anything wrong with herself, so she never got checked out by a doctor or anybody else. Months later she finds herself pregnant and has no clue how it happened. She doesn't tell Tarnish who his father is, because she's too ashamed to admit she doesn't know how it happened in the first place.
Like I said, crazy idea, but I like it, so I'm putting it here before I read what the actual answer is.
Reading tarnish, I see a lot of myself. I'm always afraid of taking a step out-of-bounds with my girlfriend and will always act the gentleman both around and away from her parents. You've done well writing this.
