I Actually like it when people have Twilight actually being PISSED over the Wedding. Hell, I have yet to find a freaking fic that handles it in a way I like. They either keep her obscenely angry way too long or have her be too quick to forgive. Or have her forgive not too soon, but without without enough being done to earn the forgiveness. No fic has yet to hit what I consider the Goldilocks Zone.

Yeah, but it breaks her Celestia worship.
I've seen fics get ripped to shreds by angry mobs for touching on this subject.
Laughed myself out of my chair with that line. You can tell he sired Laughter.
Hey, look at that! I caught up! Woo!

Quite frankly, Twilight's Celestia worship NEEDS to be broken, and I usually like reading stories that do that. One thing I really hope to see in the show someday is her having to choose between doing what Celestia says and what she feels is right.

I think I echo this... sorta. I don't know if I feel like it needs to be written, but I do agree that there is a good story on that subject that has been at least slightly missed (and, occasionally highly missed) many, many times.

I don't think she WORSHIPS her, I see it more as adoration and respect.
She obviously still cares about her friends and the princesses, otherwise this wouldn't bother her so much.
It's difficult to explain in this format, so suffice it to say, caring for someone is painful, but it also gives you strength to fix the pain.
You can respect someone without liking everything they do.
Well, after both Lesson Zero and A Canterlot Wedding, Twilight seems to have built up some trust issues. Remember Castle, Sweet Castle were she wouldn't openly adress her problems with her new home? Yes, maybe because she didn't want to seem ungrateful, but maybe also because she thinks that her problems are inferior?
She definetly has baggage. As she should, realistically speaking.
Awesome chapter dude, awesome chapter!
I like your characterization of Twilight, its... fitting.

Bonus points if it was a secret test engineered by Celestia?
7115172 Everything's a secret test engineered by Celestia.
7163202 not everything, but a good teacher spots opportunity in an instant, and works into a lesson just as quick.
6325932 Have you tried Post Nuptials? I personally think that one handles it the best.
On a different note Twilight's comment in this fic mentions something that other fics often miss namely that her warnings and accusations were completely ignored by her friends.

Um, forgiveness inherently can't be earned. If you earn it, then it's atonement.
Unpopular opinion poffin two years later here, but I'm one of those who puts the blame for the Wedding issues in Twilight's court. Just because she turned out to be right in the end doesn't mean everyone else reacted wrongly and should be shame-faced. All information from multiple trustworthy sources disagreed with Twilight. Do we ignore everything we know because someone we care about disagrees? No, of course not. Part of that knowledge is that Twilight went into this situation angry and is known to be more manic and unreasonable than a normal pony when her dander's up - which it was.
We judge the Wedding from our nearly-omniscient audience view of events, not from the points of view of ponies involved. The ponies who know Twilight Sparkle best in the world logically arrived at the conclusion she was overreacting. They know her better than we do. One of them helped raise her as a mentor, and the others have risked their lives alongside her and spent nearly every day with her since meeting her. There's more factors than just what we're shown in an episode.
Twilight, more than intelligent enough to understand this exceedingly simple concept, instead acts in a way that makes her LESS trustworthy and allows her quarry to seem MORE trustworthy. From the point of view of everyone else, Twilight flipped out and did a bad thing. If that had been the real Cadence like everyone believed, nothing would have been different for everyone BUT Twilight. Twilight eventually would have come to the realization that she overreacted, that Cadence was stressed and has changed over the years somewhat, she'd apologize, accept the marriage, and go back to Ponyville and no one would be demanding fics of apologies from her friends and mentor, or demanding they serve a penance like our fanbase seems to do.
The only thing that changed is that at one point Twilight Sparkle was proven correct. Meaning up until that point, the actions of everyone involved would not have been different regardless of outcome - but had Chrysalis not been involved, no one would have blamed anyone but Twilight - which is abusing audience semi-omniscience and not judging people on the decisions they make due to the situation they're in. Which is why it annoys me that people act like Twilight was blameless and everyone else did a horrible thing. From their perspective it was completely understood Twilight goofed, and they had plenty of precedent to fall back on for it (also her fault). Also, why would anyone trust Twilight's idea of what her childhood babysitter's personality is like today versus her aunt who presumably spends more time with her and has during this whole time that Twilight has actually forgotten about Cadence after not seeing her for years?
The burden of proof was on Twilight and despite that lovely big brain of hers, her immediate action was to to go, "Cadence you're evil, everyone agree with me?" instead of having some of even the most basic proof which might have made a world of difference, something even just tiny to prove that there was more to this than an emotional snafu on her part and they no doubt would have backed Twilight enough to at least investigate her claims. The onus was on Twilight to not seem like a crazy mare, but she went in mania-flailing and no one believed her. You have to control your emotions to convince people of things, especially the important stuff that you can't risk not being believed on.
