Oh dear, I have the dreaded "First"
(please don't hate me)
Anyway, I like this.
Your "world-building" of the Pie Family just seems spot-on; like something that, if put in the show, would fit right in.
But it keeps it's own style, it's very charming.
Kudzu, are the fire opals magic in any way?
Better question, do the ley lines imbue the rocks with magic, or is it simply magnifying what is already there?
Another way to put it:
(1 rock + ley line = Magic rock)
OR
(1 rock + ley line = 2 rocks)

There is a reason Maud isn't in many of Pinkie's photos. She was away at school.

Just regular fire opals. Google them, they're pretty!
But magic rocks can happen...
Another good chapter of another good story by the inspiring & discordantly comedic, as well as overly sciencey at times, Kudzuhaiku.
I find this story interesting though. I mean, Maud pie is getting the kudzu treatment.
whomever knows what pheromone reactions and neurotransmitter upsets he'll use to explain her.
however. it's Maud pie. she's not mentally unhinged. and tarnished teapot seems to be struggling with self esteem, rather than depression or another mental disorder.
Maud pie, seems very, very in control of her outward appearance. I think that tarnish is paying a little too much attention to what her expression says, and ignoring her body language. Though, her body language might be just as mysterious as her facial expressions.
Who knows?
A bit of insight into Tarnish and Maud both, along with some more worrisome revelations. Still, sweet overall.
Also:
Awkward.
Well done once more dude, this was awesome sauce!
I'm liking Tarish the more I learn about him, as well as the pie family :D
NIcely done! Agian!
I can see why Tarnish is afraid of sudden wealth. Of course, he's rather endearing himself to Maud's family, which is actually the best possible thing for him to be doing. And it's happening naturally -- he's not sucking up to them.
Hmmmm? Visitors? I suspect Pinkie.
this is the first romance i've read, and it's good. Anything else i have read has been forced, this is just excellent.
I've realised that they haven't used the pairing stone yet which isn't surprising because the author didn't know. I wonder if the pairing stone is used to confirm the relationship of Maud and Tarnish.
