D'awww, they came back for him. I liked that those tax collectors (calling 'em that til I know why our HIE was in jail in the first place) couldn't break Jeremy. I can only hope that Chrysalis and Nightmare help him recover and exact their revenge on Equestria if not for the them being defeated then at least for the shit conditions of the dungeons and doing acts that break their world's equivalent to the Geneva Conventions.
Here's hoping his revenge is violent and brutal.
But what happens now, hmm?
You have got me seriously intrigued!
Still waiting to learn why he was locked up.
Very Interesting story, not to mention originality (From what Iv'e read at least)!
So it seems to me you're making commentary on Celestia's in show tendency of cruelly imprisoning her enemies for thousands of years, which contrasts with her kind facade.
I wish you had developed Jeremy's relationship with Nightmare and Chrysalis more before breaking them out of prison. Intellectually I understand what their relationships are, but I haven't been given a chance to emotionally attach to the relationships, so it feels funny for them to care much about him.
On a dimmer note (hah!) I think I like what you're doing with Jeremy's photophobia. By Celestia's choice of punishment he has become a creature of darkness, much like Nightmare and Chrysalis.
I have a prediction as to what the cause of Jeremy's amnesia is, a prediction that I will keep to myself for now and probably forget.

that is kind if funny.
Uncharacteristically vicious and cruel ponies.
Human locked up in Auschwitz-style conditions for no given reason.
I frankly don't know why I'm still reading this, or how you got over eight hundred upvotes.
5869882 they're not uncharacteristically vicious and cruel, they are simply more human like. In real life you get angels and you get demons, and anything in between. He just had bad luck to met assholes. Besides, absolute power over prisoner corrupts absolutely, and we know from the show, that ponies can be corrupted and can be assholes, it's just presented in more kid friendly manner. Here, Brightlight24 only tries to show it more realistically.
If you want to have knowledge that will explain his situation, and will let you understand that it's not that unreal, try to read about Stanford Prison Experiment.
5869882 "Alternate Universe"
*Slowly claps.
5869882 Dude, do you even know what the hell happened at Auschwitz? Not at all apparently. At Auschwitz, they got basically a bowl of water with lettuce in it and a little piece of moldy, rock hard bread. Are forced to sleep in a area smaller then a broom closet. As well as being worked to death for most of the day, with guards playing death games with them, like asking them to play a song and if not playing a song he likes, will end you then and there.
So no, not at all like Auschwitz. Hell to the prisoners there, this guy's treatment would seem like a dream resort!
Why do I get the feeling this is some sort of odd attempt to make Chrysalis and NMM 'harmonious' by giving them a friend to help become better ponies?
D'awwww, they came back for him.
Now I eagerly await Jeremy to wedge his boot up the Tyrantbutt.
Nightmare doesn't do the archaic speech.
Five chapters and story development in a room

Sounds pretty sick tho
although I'm happy for the characters that they managed to get freedom, but I'm more interested in what kind of sins did a person commit to be put in the same cell with two dangerous villains of Equestria?
Pretty good so far
