Time to kick some lunar ass.

The bad lunar ass, of course.
This story is like one huge fundamental misunderstanding followed by mistreatment that sours the mouth of most parties involved
I wish Luna sees the torture and the sun :3
Such a big buildup for a moment that I and what likely most of everyone who reads this story is waiting for; Luna possibly finding out the truth. There are so many interesting ways it could go from there if she actually finds out next chapter.
Probably not, but it would be nice to see the luna and nightmare during their confrontation are interrupted by the Imperial Titan stomping the luna and the bewildered nightmare is pulls out by Jermy saying "It was easy"
Oh C'mon, you could do much worse than Gilda.
Looks like NM's about to choke a b*tch.
'Had later longer than' - lasted

Assuming she even cares enough for that to make a difference, of course...
I mean, we’ve seen little enough of Celestia’s personality so far, let alone of Luna’s, yet the attitude they display towards our somewhat unlikely trio of villains and the way they act trying to “recapture” them while also wanting to keep things nice and hushed up and the general populace as ignorant as possible suggest to me that there’s something rotten in this particular state of Equestria, and that it just may have at least some of its roots right at the top; the “I had no idea of what my subordinates were doing, honest!” excuse will only take you so far before it starts to ring a mite hollow, after all.

From what we've been shown Luna questioned what few decisions she knew of in regards to the escapees and Celestia is the only one that actually wants it kept secret. She pretty much made Luna agree to do so and wouldn't give her proper answers in regards to her questioning about it and unless I'm mixing up my stories she acknowledged something seemed off about Celestia.
Who else expects Nighty to pull some Inception stuff on Luna?

Then after giving her too much of what she wants, like the truth of what the Sun did to innocent folks or another lifetime on the moon, evicts her painfully from Jeromy's mind...

This is the only unrealistic part of the story so far.
You have a man who was in prison for a long time. He is out, laying in a bed surrounded by four willing women....and nothings happening. Not even a quicky in the shower. While yeah I know we aren't all clop Authors, it should at least happen in passing. Even as a comment in passing..
Hell, even a pity screw for Halfie who has to be a 40 year old virgin by this point.
Monk
Also I wonder why Luna hasn't discovered how the guards tortured this guy by now.
Something isn't quite adding up...
Another splendid chapter as always bright, keep up the good work! 👍👌

Oh! I agree and was half yelling at them why that was not happening.
Just saying no side took the whole conversation well, PC kept her politician face on even though it was clearly not doing her any good and NM and Jemy were too emotional to lead it anywhere constructive.
But I mantain that "reasons of the crown" is just politician for "you were overshowing ponies in their special talent".

No reason other than it not veing as funny.
Also maybe because there is no love for Chrys in Halfy nor NM.
Thanks for the update and amazing work as always!
I was honestly stunned when I decided to take a peak back at fimfiction as I do once a year typically in the vain hope one of the hiatus stories I enjoyed had somehow updated.....and it finally happened, after so many years. I read this one several times over when you first started it and honestly was stunned when I saw not only had you dropped new chapters, you have even done a round of edits on the originals. Glad to see you back at it is an understatement, thank you for the story.
I think Luna is being manipulated. I mean, he is clearly a villain in this story, but unaware. Do you remember the fragment in which She suggested revealing the opinion of the trio's petty escape? Celestia had to explain to her why it was a bad idea and it was raising red flags. Why didn't she know about this? Did she even know that a human shared a cell with her alter ego / daughter? Or why was he imprisoned? If they are equal, Celestia should inform her at least in general terms. Also Luna thinks of NM as a soulless monster and that she knows her, so she should know it's NONSENSE. THIS version is her alter ego, perhaps darker, but in no way the monster he considers her. This means several possibilities.
A - Luna slept those thousand years on the moon in her corner of THEIR mind
B - At one point, the guilt hit so hard that she ACKNOWLEDGED NM as the reason for HER decision and spent several centuries perpetuating this irrational thought
C - Harmony elements changed / removed her REAL NM memories.
In 2 of these situations, Luna is unaware of the truth and in 3 she lies herself. Celestia is the main villain in this story and Luna, being submissive to this 2 until the outbreak (Lunar Rebellion) and after her "cleansing" which strengthened this attitude, is afraid to ask her / demand FULL explanations. At least I think so and admit it is a biased thought (Luna is the best!) But I will keep it until it is fully proven that Luna is fully aware of the situation and Celestia is not manipulating it. I'm sorry for the mistakes but I am writing from the translator
Luna needs to wake up
I think that Halfy father is a changeling or that she is somehow part changeling, or i could be very wrong.
Ah yes, Luna always so happy to blame someone other than herself. Nightmare Moon is to blame for everything, not her. Ironic that of what we've seen of both of them thus far in the story, Nightmare Moon has been the less volatile, less hateful of the two.
And they're both sooo convinced that the Elements of Harmony will turn them to stone of kill them. What will you do, oh Alicorns of the Sun and Moon, if the Elements judge them worthy of life/freedom/existence, I wonder? Still find a different means to lock them and away and eliminate them to maintain your illusion of a perfect little kingdom?
