Her body is reinforced by passive magic; how many MJ of kinetic energy can her magic dissipate over a small area? I don't know and neither do you so there's no way to ascertain what injuries she should sustain from a projectile, aside from what the author decides.
Welp, NMM is back. That does not bode well.
It lives!!! Lol
Glad to see it back.
8019051 Or maybe it does. If she also stands against the Covenant, as her fairly quick termination of an Elite Zealot (Sangheili Ultra lol) certainly implies, then she may be a potential, very powerful, ally, as insane as that sounds. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend," after all. Can always just blast her with Rainbow Lasers again after it's all over and done with.
8019762
What about that one guy that kind of knows the enemy of my enemy's friend through culinary school but doesn't have their contact info? You know, the one that hears about occasional plans to dominate the world over a bubbling pot of Italian-style sauce?
8019767 I suppose that means they'd be incidental allies by both opposing the same Big Bad but not really being aware of each other's existen--
...oooh. So yeah, they're gonna have to blast her with Rainbow Lasers again. Gotcha.
(Also, Sombra is Spanish, not Italian, silly! ) (bad joke is bad lol)
8019767 Oh that nerd? Yeah he OD'd on heroin a couple years back. Supposedly, his habit started after he couldn't find job, and it all went downhill from there. Lost his girl, evicted from his apartment, that sorta stuff.
8019767
I follow NMM on Fiendbook actually. She tends to just share silly fail-cat videos and her one selfie was years ago. Now Sombra, that jerk crapposts in everyone's feed until they block him because he's a FB troll.
Well shit... this just got bonkers..
8019762
Sangheili Ultra.
8020133 Sombra is Mexican, of course, here to steal all your jobs.
... And now I have a mental image of Sombra operating a taco stand, dressed in stereotypical Mexican clothes and hat, trying to gain funds to take back the crystal empire. Of course with a 'please kill me' expression on his face.
8021241
Sombrero?
8021251 Yeah, didn't want to use that word since it's been used in one of the previous posts.
Ok. So we have evil Sombra and a likely hostile Nightmare. What caused her return?
Situation just got a whole lot worse, Men.
8020964 not suuuper familiar with the Haloverse, heheh. Only played 4 to completion, the rest of my knowledge comes from reading the Wiki. One of those game series that I really should get around to playing through fully but haven't, like Zelda and Megaman and Mass Effect.

Don't bother with it at this point, it's been murdered. Hard. Halo, I mean. Don't try and get into it now, it's only going to lead to pain.
Oh, no! Now I'm going to have to wait for an update.
But, I must say. *Removes Monocle* Thoroughly enjoyable so far, Old Bean. *Taps a cane to the ground* Tally-ho and on to the next!

I don't believe so, Halo 5 was good. Granted they shouldn't go further, I believe it was a great comeback for Halo.
8025531
I believe it's as far away from a comeback as one can get. Halo 4 was a good comeback, this was stabbing that comeback through the asshole, impaling the testicles and shoving the tip straight through the urethra until it's pissing blood before pulling up through the spine and leaving its mangled genitals hanging from the middle of its jaw.
The singleplayer story played out like one of those self-insert Displaced stories wherein the new main character is completely unlikable and unmemorable and then has nothing but horrid contrivances that make dead characters come back to be villains for literally no reason whatsoever and a plot so thin and loose it could be just a vacuum of nothing. The literal best moment I found in the story was just a glitch that my TV was having because the HDMI cable was loose, the multiplayer is a devolution back to an age prior to Halo: CE and tosses out more than half of the customization options available in prior Halo games and replaces leveling up rank and earning Credits with Microtransactions, a literal cancer of the gaming industry. The game modes and gameplay are so horribly broken that it doesn't feel like Halo, it feels like some ripped-off asset-flip made in 5 minutes on Unity that I could have bought off of Steam for less than a quarter of the price.
That game isn't a nail in a coffin, it's the whole fucking burial.

Halo 5 isn't great, but don't you think that's taking it a bit far. The multiplayer may not be what older fans were used to, but at at least it wasn't the scrambled imbalance that was halo 4s. The req system is another common complaint, but by this point it's old news. Micro transactions are a thing, and they aren't going away, the best way to show that you don't appreciate them is just to not buy them. End of story.
The campaign wasn't good either, I'll agree on that. But Halo Wars 2 at least gives the expectation of a solid sequel to both games, and has rejuvenated the franchise in my eyes. The gameplay is evolving with the platform it runs on and with the current state of the demographic who will buy the game. People don't seem to want a slow methodical shooter like halo CE or 3, they want a game that makes them feel like a badass.
I wouldn't say Halo 5 was the nail in the coffin for everyone, just a select few who don't like the current gameplay aspects. In the future they may change, so be it.
8021241 no no no, I am Doctor SOMBRERO!

I honestly don't know too much on Halo. I heard about it one day and played a little bit of Halo 3, ODST, and Reach. I enjoyed what little I played, but when I got curious about Master Chief I started to watch the cut-scenes of the games. I thoroughly enjoyed the story, not to mention the game-play. I eventually bought Halo 3, ODST, Reach, and Halo 4 and I enjoyed it so much. I especially liked Halo 4, the story had me entranced, the ending pulled my heart out, the game-play was EPIC... And when Halo 5 came out I could not wait to see what the continuation of the story was going to go.
Now I want to remind you all that I am not an expert on the intricate ways stories are told. But when I watched the game cut-scenes for Halo 5 I was disappointed. To me Halo 4 felt like it was building up to something, what with John finally seeing Earth and Cortanna basically telling him her feelings and I felt like Halo 5 let me down. That is just the view point of someone who knows basically nothing of analyzing stories.
But enough about that, this is supposed to be comments on THIS story. Which I have to say has REALLY gotten my interest and make me want to hit the Like button more than once. I love the practicality of the reactions from the characters and I like the author's view point on the Changelings. The descriptions of the action scenes make me feel like I was watching, I connect with each character mentioned, nothing feels like it is rushed... This is without a doubt one of my favorite stories on this site and the only complaint is that I read through all the available chapters in one day.
8081695
Let me get on that, then.
8091903
Probably going to address that in a future chapter, don't worry 'bout it.
8091986
There's a chapter coming up about that.
8091988
Really?
Huh. Well, okay, then. Now you have regained my interest: really, this was my primary problem with it.
8122330 *High-fives* Someone who respects the changelings as much as me deserves that.
8123192
No, see, we DO know that they didn't ask in the first place...
Because they were an out-of-context threat.
If they had asked for help, then Celestia would have been aware of their existence as well as what they were. The attack on Canterlot wouldn't have worked, because Celestia, after seeing what they could do, would deduce a way to detect it in order to protect her little ponies. Since there are no anti-changeling defenses in place, and no information on them anywhere, we can deduce that they have never approached Equestria in any capacity, official or no.
But it's fine, now. The author told me that there was a chapter addressing that specifically, so I have no more issues.
8187258
When it was deployed against a non-hostile species with vague orders of preventing them from being a threat. He neutralized them by making a peace agreement with them. Kidnapping space bugs do not count.
8187240
They could Keep it and study it for weak points that are more effective than what they know now, Also why would you want your enemies having your tech It would unbalance the playing field!
Well dam
And now for the Nightmare/Sombra grudge match. The angst shall last, forever!
This escalate to mutch to be handeld by any pony...
