Opened the flood gates with that last statement, Five.
definitely a better way for him to go 'CHOO-CHOO MUTHAFUKKA"
Its been awhile sceance I read this story, but last time five formed a bond with Chrysilis after saviving some of her changelings from Celestia, and was willing to make peace with ponies right?

Story's starting over, because every chapter was just a pointless dead-end that I haphazardly threw together.
5147797 I do hope you'll still use the concept where changelings are misunderstood and not evil, like those shallow ponies think.

Way fast paced. Too many events, not enough description or time for any of them to sink in. Currently it reads mostly as a list of events more than a story. More description of the environment, and of the characters' thoughts would help, especially in the case of Five, as atm all we really know about him is that he talks to himself in the middle of unknown territory and that he doesn't really have any knowledge of any first contact protocol for soldiers. Also, there's not really a need for the audience to know the specific names of his guns beyond 'sniper rifle', 'assault rifle', etc., in most cases. saying 'burst-fire assault rifle' is more descriptive and less alienating to non-halo players than calling the battle rifle by it's full name. Those sorts of details are mostly useless to the reader, since they don't really describe anything and they don't usually reflect upon the thoughts or actions of any of the characters.
5147843 really? I just took it as daddy was busy working and didn't have time to play with the kids. I feel the pacing was more appropriate to his personality than it was before.
5147343 What?
S' pretty good.

For those that speak like teh nOOb
I have a question for the author regarding why Five refuses to use logic. Why does a Sparten find that a useless weapon, the sniper rifle in this case, is more useful than both the medical supplies and 1 month of food? On an unknown world I would prefer a reliable food source over a weapon. Still going along the lines of logic, why use +6 cans of C7 if only half that amount was needed, a blatant wast of resources.
5151260
He took the food, medical supplies, and the Sniper Rifle, and to answer the second part, Five needed to use that much because UNSC protocol states that the equipment must be thoroughly destroyed.
5151309
This heavily implies that those supplies are inside the pelican. The size of the pelican is 30.5 meters long, with the blast radius of +6 cans of C7 being 60 meters in diameter Five could have easily thoroughly destroyed the pelican while saving 2 cans at a minimum.
5151371 Then I would like to ask, why did he take the useless sniper rifle rather than C7?
5151354
The armor of the Pelican is thick, and he needed to coat the engines on the exterior as well as the computational devices in the cockpit.
5151377
So that he could use the Smart-Link scope of the rifle.
5151381 Out of curiosity, how much C7 is contained in one of those cans?
5151383 Doesn't that only require the scope and not the entire rifle
5151384
I only estimated from an image I found, as well as when I read through the Fall of Reach. I think there may be enough in one can to cover up about 3/4 of a Warthog if sprayed, or bring down a Scorpion if the canister is left foaming all over itself somewhere in the middle of it.
5151390
He needs to bring the rifle along and carefully take out the connections for the Smart-Link, so he can't just rip it off and attach it like some things I've seen.
5151393 the scope of the rifle is independent of the rest of the rifle
5151391 i was looking more for weight but going off that I would say about 400 - 600 grams?
5151381 if the armor of the pelican is as thick as you say it is there is no way for Five to adequately destroy the pelican considering it is heat and radiation shielded
5151417
It took more than two cans to thoroughly destroy it.
5151400
He still needs it to be functional, so therefore he needs to carefully remove it, not rip it off.
5151408
I wouldn't know, honestly.
5151465 Your first reply stated that he used more than two cans, I know this as he used more than six, however, there is no feasible way for there not to be large pieces of advanced armor plating shrapnel remaining after the explosion that only had a 30 meter radius. Also how will Five destroy the wing of the pelican that was ripped off?
Your second reply stated he cant rip the scope of but why would he need to rip it off? For the 1.66 meter sniper to properly fit inside the duffel bag it must be able to be deconstructed without the use of tools.
5151493
The second wing of the Pelican is somewhere where Requiem was.
Also, how about I just address that issue with the Sniper Rifle in the next chapter so we can just drop this debate? I'm in class right now and I'm about to get in trouble with the teachers.
5151503 will finish this later
5147500 Heh, that badly written eh?
Would
"Yes Mr Spartan, Twillight have PLENTY of things she would like to talk about."
have been better? Uff, Reading that again it's obvious i was a bit out of it when i wrote that comment, but please take into consideration that English isn't my main language.
5155019
I didn't mean to offend, sorry. Still, though, there will be plenty of things to talk about in the next chapter, indeed.
I really like this chapter. 10/10
aye! good show! are you planning to do a crossover with Destiny?
5157901
One day.
This.
I love this.
So far.
Keep it up, son.
5155116 No worries! Thanks for telling me when my English is horrid, how else am i to learn and improve? I Just wanted to explain the reasons my comment was so horribly written, should i ever do it again, please Contact the grammar Nazi's at once!!
5159043 Permission to concur, sir!
5160564
The way you would write that sentence would be-
"Yes Mr. Spartan, Twilight has plenty of things she would like to talk about."
I certainly enjoy fives much more serious demeanor. It will make this much more... Lifelike? I think that describes it well. Well done.
5169416 Aaaaah, has instead of have, got it.
I know it's a bit early to ask, but Five IS going to, at the very least, attempt to get home, right? Soooo many Halo crossovers have the characters just settle down in Ponyville, it's ridiculous.
5171319
Because the ponies have countless ships laying around for any space-hobo who happens their way. Not to mention the Cole Protocol means that none of the Spartans would know the coordinates of anywhere human.
has this story been rewritten? because I have this feeling that I've read this already, but with a different storyline.
