After returning from her advanced studies with Celestia, Twilight finds a strange and mysterious book with power over death itself. Soon she finds herself haunted by a strange creature that only she can see, and a nagging urge to test out the power of the book for herself. Driven by the spreading corruption, Twilight begins down a dark path that enevelops not only herself and her friends, but all of Equestria.
(This story does change some of the rules of the death note, though i will try to stick to the rules of it as i can)

Already I'm noticing a lot of errors, especially in the way sentences are strung together. It doesn't ruin it, but it's enough to draw me out of the story. Do you have a proofreader? A single run-through with a decent editor could solve most of your problems. Otherwise, I like the way this is being set up, even if the obvious Villain Sue is a bit over-the-top. I would rather see her feel that her position is somehow threatened by Twilight, rather than have her be a jerk for no clear reason. Still, everypony else is in top form, and I'm seeing enough ideas emerging to make this an interesting read.
What's this guy look like ehhhh? Other than a skeleton. Is the thing where the death note's will being undone apart of this fiction or the anime too? Does the owner become immortal? I think it would be wierd if the owner died of old age and everybody got revived.

325733 Look carefully at what i wrote in the rule, it's only if the original owner died that the death's would be undone, The original owner is The old man, who originally created the death note's, and due to his way of using the Death Note, I would put his current lifespan at approximately 100,000 years, so that whole dying of old age thing isn't gonna be happening any time soon. And yes, those two on the red page are ones I made up, being the original Shinigami, i figured his Death Note would have at least something special about it.
