When the Cutie Mark Crusaders try to earn their cutie marks in fire fighting they are nearly killed when the fire they started quickly grows out of control. They are rescued by a stallion who turns out to be a bat pony. What's strange is the fact that, until Princess Luna's return, bat ponies have been extinct for over nine hundred years and cannot survive in direct sunlight. Twilight seeks Princess Celestias' advice when she senses a powerful magic hidden deep within the bat pony known as Firestorm. Celestias' only advice is to treat him as a friend.
Never one to question her loving teacher, Twilight follows her instruction and welcomes Firestorm as a friend and so do the other elements of harmony. As their time together continues, Firestorm becomes drawn to not only one of Twilights' closest friends, but one of the fillies of the CMC as well. Twilight soon realizes in the midst of their growing friendship with Firestorm, something about him is very off.....
I found the action a little off towards the end, your story seems pretty interesting so far and I hope to see more of it

I wanted to make this clear to everyone who reads Rain of Fire; yes, Firestorm is ridiculously rich
, being a thousand years old he would have the knowledge and resources to expand his wealth to that point. On that note, his wealth is a crucial part of the story for later. The other thing is this; while Firestorm is a unicorn/bat pony hybrid there is a reason he is so powerful. A reason which is hinted at in one of the chapters and if I keep hearing about it I'll shoot my mouth off and spoil exactly why that is before I explain it in the upcoming chapters!!!
