A young dragon named Smolder was chosen by the Dragon Lord Ember to represent the dragons at Princess Twilight's School of Friendship. Smolder isn't too happy about going, but if she's being ordered to go then the least she could do is get to say goodbye to a few dragons before she leaves. Most importantly, she wants to say goodbye to her brother, Garble, but something tells her he's less than happy about her leaving as she is.

Years have gone by, and Smolder comes to the unsettling conclusion that her friends are running out of time in this life. But Smolder won't stand for this! She considers her friends to be her hoard, and a dragon and her hoard are not so easily parted.

Gallus and Smolder are ready to take the next step and go through what may be the most important day in both of their lives.

In completely unrelated news, a diligent pizza parlor employee receives two new customers to serve.

Sandbar and friends discuss things that are legal and illegal when Sandbar mentions using recreational drugs. Gallus and Smolder decided they wanted to try some for themselves, but they couldn't find any after raiding Sandbar's room. So they settle for the next best thing; Brownies!

And oh man. They are good brownies.

Gallus goes to visit Smolder in the hospital after an accident during cheerleading practice. While she is recovering well, the scare does cause Smolder and Gallus to talk about their relationship. However, even as she is recuperating, the two can't help but exchange insults and taunts to one another.

Smolder scratched the back of her neck. “Actually...maybe...I know a spot?”

“You’re kidding,” Gallus said.

“I was holding off on talking about him until it was time to propose,” said Smolder. “He’s an old fart who lives in a cave on the borders of the Dragonlands. His place is kinda camouflaged to non-dragons so the professors don’t really know about it and neither do your species’ governments.”

“Well, I know what we’re doing today,” Ocellus said. "Committing crime for the sake of my five fiancees. You know, this is one of the few things that I think both Chrysalis and Thorax would be proud of me for."
