"I just want the nightmare to end..."

When one closes their eyes, drifts off to sleep, the mind works mysteriously. Dreams come forth, they bring us strange readings on how we are doing in our lives, even when they are not easily readable. But always, when the time to wake comes, the dream fades and is often never seen again.

But then there are nightmares... our subconsciousness trying to tell us something we don't know. They often terrify us... because we are afraid of the truth behind it. But just like the dream, they eventually fade... but not for Scootaloo. For her, each night, she is visited by the same exact nightmare.

Lost and scared in her own dreams, she begins to give up, to slip into depression. After all, no one pony can suffer too much trauma brought upon by their own brain. But one night, during the dream... she realizes that something else is there, floating in her subconscious.

And she feels that soon, the nightmare will end.

Foreword: This story is based upon my own personal experiences after finding my father nearly died from attempted suicide for about a month. Everything in the story is a metaphor to my own life, everything from the shack in the middle of nowhere (my loneliness) to the cliff (the escape).

Mainly, this was written as per request by my therapist, who said I should write a metaphoric story about those times in a way that makes me happy. So naturally, I chose ponies. And who better than Scootaloo, who, in my fanon, lives like I do?

In Canterlot’s gardens, there is a lightly damaged fountain.

It's very old.

Not all friends are made by choice. Some are found purely by accident in places you'd never think to look. After being tossed around by a storm, Rainbow Dash makes just such a friend in a town too small to be worth putting on the map. And she's not the only one meeting new ponies, either.

But even as daily life plays out, events set in motion centuries ago begin to unfold. Things that were lost and buried are stirring, things older than even the princesses. After all, when ponies came to Equestria, who knows what they left behind?

It all begins on a spring morning shortly after the Royal Wedding.

Scootaloo is Rainbow Dash's number one fan. But after a horrible accident where she's injured, Rainbow Dash wishes the unthinkable, that she'd never been born. Then she finds out the dire consequences of her choice.

When an accident reveals a disturbing truth, Scootaloo gets the news that she will never fly. Her newly found mentor and sister fill-in, Rainbow Dash, must confront a reality where both the hero and a dreamer are broken.

Scootaloo tired of being teased about being called a chicken tells us exactly what she thinks and feels in this story.

Three years. Three years it had taken Celestia to finally be able to see the real Sunset Shimmer hidden beneath all the greed, disgust and hate. But now that she saw the real Sunset for what she was, she was determined to finally help the girl. It wouldn't be easy; Sunset had many skeletons in her closet and the path before was marred and twisted with her past mistakes. But perhaps, perhaps if she plays her cards right, Sunset could have the one thing she always dreamed of. A family.

Inspired by every fanfic where Sunset gets adopted by Celestia and/or is Celestia's kid.

Three years ago, an alien spacecraft was discovered buried deep beneath the Everfree Forest. Without delay, it was excavated and thoroughly studied to the best of Equestria's capabilities. All signs pointed it being completely defunct, never to fly again.

Though unfortunately for creatures visiting it during its first day as a museum, the truth was the exact opposite.

A three hour tour of the ship has now turned into a grand tour of the galaxy. Will homesickness overtake these new explorers, or will they learn to love going where no pony has gone before?

In Part I of their tale, the ponies arrive in a star system at the edge of the galaxy. Immediately, Luna is voted as 'captain', and the race is on to find out how to operate the museum turned starship before they run out of food. Will our intrepid night princess be able to lead her ponies to this goal, or will her self-doubts put an end to her captaining days?

And why can't her new Red Dwarf friend be less cryptic if there's danger nearby?

The land of Equestria was always one filled with light and positivity, but the darkness has been amassing, the Sin, embodiments of the evil of ponies' hearts and souls, have struck, many ponies have died, and only 4 centers of civilization remain, Canterlot, Ponyville, Bearussia, and Neigh York, the last vestiges of hope for ponykind, and they are mere motes of substance waiting to be consumed.

Princess Luna, a powerful mare who has seen first-hoof into the abyss of darkness and evil, has used her and her sister Celestia's magic to summon warriors of light, heroes that will save the land of Equestria.

She was expecting 1, 2, maybe 3 tops, and if Lady Luck was on her side, 4, but she received, not 5 or even 6, but 15 fighters to help this task.

That's not what was surprising about them, what was surprising about them was that they were not even ponies.
