Being Captain of the Canterlot Royal Guard is a tough job be it from dealing with the public or, more often than not, the boredom. In those times, one's own past and thoughts may be a greater adversary than any attempt on the Princess's life.

Gallus comes home after one such mental battle, hoping to find refuge in the one place he knows the enemy can't touch him.

Spoilers for Season 9 Finale and Epilogue

Now that she's no longer the Principal of the School of Friendship, Gallus has nothing to stop him from asking Twilight out on a date except his own nervousness. Will she accept? Probably not. But how can Gallus move on if he never acknowledges his feelings?

This fic is dedicated directly to the legendary Present Perfect, who pretty much asked for it. Any clop stories inspired by this written by any author can also be dedicated to him. Because he also asked for that.

Now that some of her best friends and fellow classmates are part of the School of Friendship, Diamond Tiara just has to see it for herself. But Headmare Twilight won't let her enroll, so that leaves only one option.

While sneaking around to learn more about the school, the filly unintentionally gets spotted by Gallus and Smolder, two of the students who attend.

Hoping to make new friends (and keep them from exposing her), Tiara strikes up a conversation and before long the subjects spoken between the three will take interesting and unexpected turns. But will it be enough to keep Gallus and Smolder from telling Twilight?

Sandbar warned Gallus that he shouldn't be messing with the generator.

He should've listened to Sandbar.

Smolder got a good laugh out of it though.

Warning: The following story you are about to read is currently unedited and contains historical facts of a fictionalized world that are completely made up, and a story that I completely forgot I had. If you don't like any of these, you know where the exit button is.

It's every student's worst nightmare, and it's happening to Gallus. Among all the stuff that he has to juggle at the School of Friendship, he had forgotten about the presentation for Twilight's class. Namely, to research and give a presentation in front of the class about a certain point in Equestria's history. If Gallus had more time, he should have been prepared. However, he decides that unless he gets up there to look like an idiot, he should at least try to wing it. He may remember about half of what he's learned, but it's better than nothing.

Honestly, he just hopes that Twilight wouldn't notice.

This story was something I had written several months ago... and then completely forgot about. I think I wrote this one night when I couldn't sleep, but I'm not sure. This is odd since I don't normally do stuff like this, but it's embarrassing I had this on my laptop for who-knows-how-long and did not post it. Well, to make that up, here it is.

Gallus doesn't want to go to the School Of Friendship. He's set in his ways and in his role in Griffonstone. But one Griffon is about to change that.
