Pear Butter, daughter of Grand Pear, marries into the Apple family after falling in love with Bright Mac, a young stallion of the Apple family. After her father disowns her, and moves away to Vanhoover, Pear Butter slowly comes to peace with her father's decision.

There are many peaceful places in Equestria, and Sweet Apple Acres would likely be described as one of the most peaceful ones. But it is a fact of life that no safety is guaranteed. And the Acres were no exception to that rule.

On the first night of Zap Apple season, a fire broke out in the orchard, forcing Applejack’s parents, Bright Mac and Pear Butter, to rush out to combat it to save the farm. On any other night, this would have been the end to the danger for them. But as it stood, the timber wolves found them, and had them trapped. They would have died that night…

What if Bright Mac and Pear Butter simply ran away from their families rather than Pear Butter (or even Bright Mac) was forced to chose between which families that they had to be with. What would that look like exactly? Find out.

There is a chance that their will be a sequel chapter to this based on how well this is received.

When work finishes early at Sweet Apple Acres, Big Mac, Applejack, and Apple Bloom seek out Burnt Oak in Ponyville to hear more stories about their parents. Burnt Oak tells of Pear Butter's thank you gift to Bright Mac for repairing the water silo, and then relays the story of how Bright Mac searched for the perfect Hearts and Hooves Day present for Pear Butter.
