Vinyl is killed at a concert. In her death, she tries to make amends with a pony she'd never quite seen eye to eye with, Octavia.

What happens when your best friend dies, and comes back as a ghost?
This shorter story is based around that idea, along with a brief look into a ghost's existence.

While this story does revolve around Vinyl's death, I'm aiming for a bittersweet ending, so bear with me.

Opaline Arcana has sowed dissent and anger across Equestria. With the nation divided, Princess Twilight Sparkle and her friends are struggling to contain the ambitious alicorn. If something isn't done soon, Twilight will have no choice but to store Equestria's magic into the Unity Crystals, putting all of ponykind at risk.

Before that, though, Twilight has an idea. There's a prisoner locked away in Tartarus that was forgotten by history. He might be just what they need to stop Opaline. However, letting him loose could spell disaster for Equestria.

It's a risk she has to take.

In the dead of winter, the Ponyville Weather Team is obligated to bring in the cold. Tonight, it's frigid and frosty out there. However, the Carousel Boutique is nice and warm, mostly due to the mare that owns it.

And she'd like to spend this dreary evening with her special someone.

After being turned into a foal, Twilight believes this is the much needed opportunity to set Anon straight. And who better to do it than the hard-working pony Applejack? Only Applejack severely underestimates Anon as a foal.
