To make things even more wild, a young boy named Salazar also appears, who seems to have something unique about him. Who will reign victorious, what is up with Twilight and Salazar, and will our heroes be able to handle the trouble that will ensue? Only one way to find out everyone. Sunset and the girls believe that Equestrian magic is behind the disappearances. They decide to go out and find the perpetrators themselves. But going alone is a terrible idea, so they need help from a new friend with some unknown abilities. Can this group put a stop to the disappearances before one of their own is taken? Who is behind all of this?

Civilization has fallen, and only the burned-out ruins of Canterlot City remain. Now desperate survivors scavenge out a meager existence under the shadow of King Sombra and his legion of psychotic raiders and crazed warlords. Sugarcoat finds herself transported into this grim world after being a locked in a police car for a night and she determined, with Sonata's help, to save her friends or, failing, just to survive…

This story is a total rewrite of the original Crystal Apocalypse and it is set in the same continuity as Rarity's a Sociopath, only that it shares the canon and has some of the same characters. Prior reading of either, while appreciated, is not required.

As Cato and Urchin have the time of their lives with their girlfriends, twenty two more people, all with ties to the two boys’ past, transfer into CHS, just in time for the Friendship Games.

Just as these transfers make reunite with the two most powerful boys in the school, dune and gloom in the form of the Friendship Games begins to take its effects on most of the students of Canterlot High. Fueled by the painful memories the Games brings up in his girlfriend, Cato decides to pick a fight with Crystal Prep, dragging his friends into what seems like a suicide mission. Or is it?

Crystal Prep went into this expecting a walkover. Instead, what they get is a curbstomp from what in their canon universe are the tributes of the 74th Annual Hunger Games.
