After millennia of reflexive compassion, the abdicant diarchy have retired from princesshood but not from meddling. Benevolence is a hard habit to break. So, when a haunted orphanage is discovered on the unsettled frontiers of Equestria, two retired princesses arrive to shepherd the dead to their rest.

A monster is carrying her reign of terror throughout Ponyville, the last town on Earth. The monster is none other than Cozy Glow. If you happen to approach her, or she has her eyes upon you, you better remember to think only happy and pleasant thoughts. Or else she's capable of doing something truly horrible if she doesn't like you.

Madponies prevent her from leaving her safe haven, but each day she grows weaker. Finally she makes her move, and finally she discovers just what it means to be starving.

Five years have passed since the retirement of Princesses Celestia and Luna, and Princess Twilight Sparkle now reigns over Equestria with the help of the Council of Friendship and her loyal Royal Adviser. Equestria has known nothing but peace and prosperity ever since the defeat of Chrysalis, Tirek, and Cozy Glow, which felt like an eternity ago.

Far away in a distant land known to no Equestrian lives a secluded and foreign city. Once alive and full of riches, Ponypeii is now a shell of its former self, with destruction, decay, and death at every turn. Now, King Colossus has no choice but to turn to the Equestrians for help. If the four vicious Sisters are left unchecked for much longer, their way of life will be destroyed. And Equestria will be next....

In an alternative universe of Equestria, we follow four friends as they become infamous heroes.

Though, it would be helpful if their version of Equestria wasn't limited in the magic department so that only the most powerful beings had true magic...

As Rainbow Dash prepared to return home from the Wonderbolts on winter leave, she expects to attend the gala and spend the rest of the winter season relaxing with her friends. Instead she receives an urgent telegram summoning her to Ponyville where she is greeted by an angry mob and a shadow of her past.

When it starts to threaten her friendships, Rainbow Dash realizes just how dangerous the situation is, and is forced to confront the ghosts of her past and the life she left behind. Lest the one she built for herself crumbles in her hooves.

We all have days we feel we can’t survive. Sometimes our dreams are crushed. Sometimes our friendships fall apart. Sometimes the ones we love betray us. Sometimes sickness overtakes us and we may even lose the ponies we love.

One thing that is guaranteed is that we all have our day in disdain.
