When Celestia and Luna tell Twilight that being an alicorn comes with challenges and trials, and that she needs to control herself and her magic, they refer her to an old book on meditation. Twilight is skeptical at first, but she reads it anyway.
When she gets into it she finds that the book is not filled with sensible, helpful tips on meditation at all, but the message inside gets into her head. Eventually she starts having visions, and one vision in particular will not leave her mind until she brings it into the real world. The consequences change her views of Ponyville - and her duty to it - completely.

Angel Grace here. During my research into other worlds and magical control, I came across this! I'm afraid I don't have much context, so I'm posting it up here, seperate from my notebook. If someone knows what it means or has more information, I hope it helps!

It's...kinda weird, though. The name of this pony. Probably a coincidence.

On the night of nightmare night, the CMCs stayed on Apple Bloom's farmhouse to tell each other ghost stories before going for candy. One by one, all of the four fillies tell each other there stories to the others without even noticing that something wasn't right.

When Pinkie Pie isn't invited to prepare a party for somepony, she experiences a moment of existential fear. To cope, she invites her friends over for a party. Unfortunately, they're all busy that night, and ask her to reschedule. She does, hoping that will give them time to come give her party the attention it deserves.

Come the day of the party, Pinkie finds that her friends, contrary to her instructions and common party etiquette, have committed faux pas after faux pas, culminating in Rainbow Dash being late! She decides enough is enough, and confronts them all one by one about their manners and behaviour.

Twilight wakes up one day to very strange circumstances. Everypony is gone. It's always night time. An oppressive, heavy sheet of fog dominates every corner of Ponyville.

And an insufferable headache won't leave her alone. But that's the least of her worries.

No Foundation computer at this site seems to be able to access the Control Systems, and that includes the Door Control System. We fear we might have been hacked by a Splinter Group, or a massive system glitch has occurred. Whatever the case, we are initiating a site-wide Class A1 Lockdown out of precaution, until control can be remotely restored. We will update everyone shortly."

This was never supposed to happen.

"Attention, all personnel! The Door Control System is being accessed remotely from an unknown source. An immediate Class B3 Lockdown has been initiated per direct order of O5-█! We advise all personnel to seek out a safe space, or prepare for an evacuation."

Why? Why did she have to do this? She- she was curious, fascinated with it. So enamored with the possibilities she didn't even begin to consider the potential dangers. And now look where she is.

"Attention, all personnel! Somebody is opening up the containment chambers! This site is now experiencing multiple Keter and Euclid Class Containment Breaches, and we advise all remaining personnel of Class-C or higher to enter to your nearest evacuation shelter immediately! Full-site lockdown initiated!"

Stuck. In a room, with a horrifying abomination, something so terrifying she couldn't even begin to comprehend had she not seen it first hoof, outside the door, ready to devour her. Smashing it's huge body into the door in an attempt to break it down. Snarling. Growling. Waiting for it to give way.

"We've dispatched several MTF Task Forces, including Epsilon-11, to this facility for immediate re-containment purposes. We advise all personnel to remain in your evacuation shelter and to ignore any and all personnel attempting entry unless verified to be both human and at least Class-C. We can't take any risks in a breach of this magnitude. The following SCPs are confirmed out of containment: SCP-002, SCP-005, SCP-008, SCP-009, SCP-016, SCP-017, SCP-019, SCP- wait, what is- OH MY GOD!"

And now she was going to die.

"...You... disgusting, RETCHED creatures... you... you think I am secured here... you think... I can be contained. That... you... are... protected. That you... are in control. That any of these... ABOMINATIONS... can be... locked away. That you can win."

And now they were all going to die.

"You... are gravely mistaken..."

And it was all her fault.

Telling scary stories around the campfire is a long camping tradition, but when Applejack gets tired of hearing Rainbow Dash tell the same story with different words, she decides to share one of her own that her mother told to her, a long time ago. It couldn’t possibly be true, of course, no matter what Pear Butter had said all those years before.

It’s not as if anyone has ever seen any proof, after all.

A dangerous artifact has broken containment and could start an end of the world scenario. Only Aaron Hock and his team stand in its way.

Most ponies are familiar with the legendary Vamponies. Powerful, demonic, immortal creatures that roam the night feeding on the blood of mortal ponies, sowing chaos and destruction and leaving death in their wake. But none are more well known nor so reviled yet so revered as Alushy: Countess of Blood, The Nightwalker, the Crimson Demon, the Queen of all Monsters and the twisted Element of Kindness.
This is not a mere story but a chronicle of a once beloved Pony's transformation and their fall into chaos and destruction and the dire consequences that resulted.

So, this is my first work on this site. . . Yes I know this has probably been done to death but I have had it in my head to do any Alushy story since the day Bats! first aired. This is not an EQ but it is an anthro AU because: Hands! I stink at writing story descriptions btw. Get used to it.
