Thunderlane got his marefriend, Flitter, a signed Wonderbolts jersey for Hearth's Warming. That same year, Cloudchaser gave her sister a set of paints. Clearly, she couldn't let this blatant insult stand, so next year, she made sure to get her sister the best present she could think of, kicking off an ever-escalating battle of gift-giving between herself and Thunderlane. Will the two remember the true value of a present before their relationships with their loved ones are ruined forever?

As the springtime begins to bloom in Equestria, something else starts to stir in the hearts of ponies the world over. Hearts and Hooves Day is coming, and Soarin has a plan. With the school year finally over, he and Thunderlane finally have time to spend together as a couple, with their first steamy encounter in Miss Horsefeather's classroom now a fond, if awkward, memory.

To celebrate their newfound freedom and to assuage some nagging doubts about their relationship, Soarin vows to make this Hearts and Hooves Day the best one ever. The problem is, the best-laid plans of Ponykind often go awry...

Hey, I'm Rainbow Dash. You probably know me, right? What am I saying, of course you do. Best flyer in Equestria, and all that.

Well, the thing is, I'm kind of in trouble. You probably heard about my friend Twilight becoming a princess, right? Well, she cast this crazy spell and now I don't know where I am. I mean, it looks like Ponyville, but I know it isn't. It doesn't feel right. Ponies are paranoid, and the guards are everywhere.

Worst of all, though, everypony seems to run in fear at the mention of Twilight Sparkle.

What am I going to do?

Venturing to a mysterious island of monsters, mystery, devils and witchcraft, Rainbow Dash joins forces with her old enemy, Lightning Dust, to rescue their friends and save Equestria from total destruction.

There are many alternate universes.  Princess Twilight Sparkle found a number of them whilst she was duelling with Starlight Glimmer.  These alternative realities were perfectly genuine to those who lived in them.
This is a true story about an Equestria in which Queen Chrysalis had not been defeated when the Changeling Army invaded during the Royal Wedding at Canterlot.  Only a small group of free ponies is left to mount a Resistance.  The future does not look good, but a zebra has a plan.

This can be read as a one-shot or continued to its sequel https://www.fimfiction.net/story/384399/the-end-of-oppression, when Pinkie Pie mounts a rescue mission into the hive.

They did it, they managed to get the goober into the Super Collider to stop King Pin and to be returned home.

Peni was the first to get sent back. She was going to miss the people who were just like her. People who understands her, and she was leaving them to get back to her home dimension. Back to her Aunt May and Uncle Ben.

However, instead being sent back to Earth-14512, she ends up somewhere she did not expect. A place that was not like the Earth that she knew or heard from her fellow Spider-people.

How will she get back to her home dimension now? What will she find here?

On paper, Lightning Streak has everything. A wonderful boyfriend, a healthy lifestyle with a body to match, and he's one of the fastest flyers in Equestria, as signified by the flight suit he proudly wears. But every day, he still pushes himself harder and harder, continuing to go to the very brink of his limits just so he can be good enough. Thunderlane worries about him, sure, and the other Wonderbolts don't have the same thought process for some reason. But that's not his problem, it's theirs. After all, only winners get rewards. Failures get nothing.

Rainbow Dash is angry and suspicious. Deciding to see if her suspicions are truth or just paranoia, she decides to confront the 'problem' at it's source.

Rated Teen for swearing, talks of LGBT stuff, and mentions of sex. Not sure if the 'sex tag' is appropriate for this but it's more direct than previous innuendos and acknowledgements so better safe than banned.
You don't really have to read the prequel, but it is technically a part of it.

One night at Sweet Apple Acres, Apple Bloom hears strange noises in the house, and wakes up her sister for help. Because of that, Applejack and the family find out that Granny Smith isn't alone in her bedroom. Apparently, the mare found herself a special somepony; however, that pony isn't anyone that they would've ever expected.
