The city of Mare-is is a popular tourist spot, especially since it is the home to the esteemed legacy of the Count of Monte Colto, believed to have been made from the burning desire for revenge against those that wronged him. However, when a priceless treasure belonging to the legacy was stolen and the family was attacked on the new Countess's wedding day, she vows revenge against the thief that caused it.

Meanwhile, Daring Do is alerted to the potential crisis when an old friend, a minstrel named Night Serenade, comes into her life once more and tells her of a letter requesting her presence at the city of Mare-is. She plans to go alone, but is forced to take Night Serenade with her at his request. Can the two find the priceless treasure in time or will they succumb to the wrath of the Countess of Monte Colto?

When Twilight was sent to improve relations with the Griffon Kingdom due to a glacier running through the sea that divides the two kingdoms, she was more than a little excited. However, when she and her friends landed on the shores of Griffonstone, Twilight realised this mission might not be as leisurely as she might have hoped. As nice as the griffons were, and as much as her friends were enjoying the "vacation", Twilight couldn't help but be entranced by the titanic ice sheet in the water. This was because of the spells put on the couple by their relatives and many other ponies, just out of jealousy.

After that, Glidestar and Glory had to visit an astrologer, Mystic Glow and had to talk to her to get their problems solved. Soon all their problems were solved and they lived happily ever after.

The Celestial Era has lasted for hundreds of blissful, peaceful years. The Glorious Sun rules all, sees all, knows all. The citizens of Equestria are happy, perfect specimens- because they have no other choice, nor would they want it to be otherwise. A young mare, Twilight Sparkle, finds a small, unexpected, inquisitive spark leading her to ask questions. Difficult questions. Questions to which she will not like the answers.
