Delete, cut, backspace, empty recycle bin. However it happens, deleting things is one of the most important and difficult parts of writing. Choosing to throw away a piece of work can often be like ripping off a band-aid, or in the worst cases, like putting down a pet. One of the most dangerous things an author can do is to never delete anything. This applies to everything from individual words to entire ideas and concepts.
I had to do some major revisions to 17, but I got off of my lazy butt to do them. The last few pages of the chapter ended up pushing it past my normal 10k-ish word count, so... there's that? Also I'm moving to nights in September, which will free up a lot of time to do work on Speak. And my goal is to get a chapter out every 3 weeks. Hopefully. Maybe?
please put away your duct tape I'm working on 18 already, too!
Hello, everyone. Randome here.
The past month or so has been very busy, and I haven't really had the chance to do much. I've had many exams, and have been in a semi-depressive mood as of lately. And sleep deprived. But I've had multiple of you supporting me when I couldn't do it myself, and I thank you for that.
Yesterday I set myself a challenge. I was going to edit as many of my own stories as I could before my brain turned to Jello. I did this purely to take my mind off that it is mother's day and mine got drafted into the Angel Army some 7 years ago. This way, I could do something constructive while I moped through the weekend. A quick lesson to all that read this, pause and go hug your mother. Don't finish reading this, go do it NOW. You only have one. I can
It's that time. The results are in... Let's see where I'm at for my goals.
Fair tidings and well met! By sheer coincidence and the stars aligning, my editor finished combing through chapter 32 last night!
.... While the entire site was down.
But now that we've got that out of the way, I figured I'd update everyone. For those who do not know, Magisight is 33 chapters (32+epilogue) long. Here is the current status of the last two remaining chapters

I'd like to extend all of the thanks in the world to each one of my readers and those who checked out my story. At the time of this writing, I have almost 700 views for the story, and almost 6000 total views across all chapters. My most recent chapter, 21, Of Friendships Entwined, is one of the fastest growing chapters I've put out since the story's launch, already at over 100 unique views, with the next tier at 180. Not only that, this publishing period has been the most active
First draft:
Frazzle leaned over and lapped at her tea, eyes up to watch Izzy work. She winced at the clattering from in there.
Second draft:
Frazzle leaned over and lapped at her tea, eyes up to watch Izzy work. She levitated the books with great care, but when she headed for the bathroom Frazzle winced at the clattering from in there.
Third draft:
It is time again. The time to post chapter 5 draws near and once again I need editors. The chapter will be around 6 to 7k words.
This weekend.
So if are interested to help me edit please PM me.
Salvete,
In the last general update, I mentioned my plans to post Part Twelve before Christmas. Unfortunately, I must extend the publish date to before New Years.
Shocking, I know, with my impeccable history of always posting on time. <--- Obviously not sarcasm.
I want to make certain this next chapter is as well edited as I can make it, considering the train wrecks the last two chapters have been in terms of polish. Rushing things ends badly. Who knew?
Neary through grammar fixes and revisions on the early chapters! So they're more readable, more detailed and well thought out, and just flow better I think! Just working on the last two chapters. Once those are done, it won't take me long to get chapter nine out as well. Very excited, and much happier with how it flows now than how it used to.
I'm having so much fun adding to the world that so many of you have worked to build together. I'm happy to be a part of this
I've been trying to post a new chapter every 7-12 days since I started publicly sharing the project, but I'm afraid the next chapter may be delayed by an extra week. Not for anything bad though, I think it's very worth the wait! My friend and now editor JFrost has lent me his hoof for editing the previous chapters, as well as the ones I havn't posted yet. Since this development I'm very excited for us to improve the overall quality of
Or, to go by another title long-time readers of this site will recall, The Death Spiral.
Welcome back writers! It’s Monday, and you know what that means. That, or this is your first time stumbling across this corner of the web and are just in awe or suspicion of what you’ve found. Maybe both.
The new cover art is complete, and I've added back in the previously cut content and a few other things in what I'm calling "Weekend With The Dragon Lord +"! Check it out!
Alright, I don't want to keep you guys in suspense, so I'll just come right out and say it.
The chapter is FINALLY finished. Spend all of today writing on it, and it will be one of the bigger chapters of the stories. So that's great!
Happy holidays, everypony. ^^"
Welp, definitely would have hoped I would have it done sooner (I am really sorry :( ). But now it is the time when I need help editing it.
This one is shorter than the previous ones but the next one will be a fairly large one so that should make up for it.
So if are interested in helping me edit please PM me and I will send a google doc link.
