Hello! I am Comrade Sparkle, resident junior grammar nerd, and this is a quick guide on writing in the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE!

I realize now that I might have jumped the gun with my last post. A number of people approached me with confusion, the very people I sought to help!
Well, my friends, this just won't do.
I'll preface the meat of this blog post with a plea:
Please tell me when you are confused.

This simple sentence gave me so much trouble in The Woman! It felt right, but also wrong somehow; should there be commas wedged into those lists of adjectives? Or not? I wasn't sure. So I turned to The Only Grammar Book You'll Ever Need and the internet for help.
It's a question of if they are "compound" or "coordinate" adjectives.
Do tell how either of those suggestions are grammatically correct for that sentence, Microsoft Word, please do. 
I'm used to Word's grammar check occasionally being squirrelly and/or too "by the book"...but this instance seemed comically bad given the sentence it was suggesting these corrections for. 
I have, thou hast, he/she it hath, we/you/they have
I do, thou dost, he/she/it doth, we/you/they do (with didst as the second-person singular past)
Initially when I began to post chapters for Banners of Griffonia, I had hoped to post a new numbered chapter every week uninterrupted. Interludes and other extra chapters would go up during the week, but wouldn't interrupt the regular Saturday schedule.

The subject is the part of the sentence that performs the action indicated by the verb. In the sentence "Pickles Explode." the noun pickles is the subject. The subject of any sentence is a noun. The complete subject, as opposed to the simple subject, is a noun together with its modifiers.

The stuff I see the most highly rated and famed authors still doing wrong. And so, we get to another batch of self-editing hints! As always, Twist is ready to serve as bullet point in the list! 
Hi everyone. I have gotten some feedback that my grammar for the first few chapters is atrocious, and yes, I know it is. I'm in the process of editing it and if the grammar was the only reason to stop you from reading my story, then I implore you to give it another try. Thank you and good day.
There's something I've noticed turning up a lot more lately than I used to. Lots and lots of authors have capitalization errors in dialogue tags when the quotation ends in a question mark or exclamation mark. Now, some authors have this problem anyway, but the upsurge I've seen recently is for authors who normally get it right. The errors only occur for dialogue ending in a question mark or exclamation mark.
They'll get this right:
"Hey," he said.

All too often I have noticed the same thing on this site. People pointing out spelling errors. Look, we are not professional writers. If you want to comment about the story, then fine. But don't nit pick any spelling errors. We all make mistakes. So please, don't be a grammar bully.
